Bibee Dresses was created by Nicola after being frustrated trying to find the perfect maternity / nursing dress and being frustrated that she could not find anything.
I was sent one to review before I found out I was pregnant as I wanted to try one as a nursing dress. If I am honest it looked really odd at first and I didn’t like but once I put it on I changed my mind.
The Bibee dress is cleverly designed to sit underneath the bust, leaving the chest area exposed for easy access to breastfeed. The Bibee bib then secures over the top using buttons at each side. See the How to Wear Guide here.
It does take a knack to undo them at first, but it does get easier. The picture below shows how discreet the feeding is.
The dress currently comes in three colours – Black, Navy and Egg Plant and is made from a heavy jersey material, which means it will never need ironing, and you can also choose a long sleeved t-shirt to sit underneath for the cooler months. I have worn and washed several times, and the dress has held its shape and kept its colour!
The best thing about it is, the bibs are interchangeable. Not only does it mean that you get a different look, but if baby happens to leave you with a present, you simply remove the bib and pop another one on in its place and the bib will fit neatly in your changing bag without taking up much room!!
The dress is very flattering, skimming over your bump / pot baby tummy and falls just below the knee on me. I have teamed with opaque tights and boots for the winter months, but it would look great in the summer with a pair of ballerina type pumps.
