What’s on in London this weekend

The school holiday’s are in full swing and one of our favourite places to visit is London, which is easily accessible from our home on the south coast by car, train and bus.

Frozen the Musical

Frozen the Musical is set in the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, London, just off Covent Garden.

If you have kids, especially girls, there is a good chance that you have been subjected to “Let it go” on repeat at some point in your life.

Frozen the Musical is every bit as magical as the animation, but better!

Don’t expect a re-run of the film on stage. The story has been adapted for the stage and although all songs from the original are in the show, some of the words have been altered and there are some brilliant new additions in there too – you will be singing Hygge all the way home!!

Matilda the Musical has had a revival since the release of the film at the end of last year and is so popular in this house that we have seen it three times!

With book by Dennis Kelly and original songs by Tim Minchin, Matilda The Musical is the story of an extraordinary little girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny. This catchy musical will surely capture the hearts of all the family.

Spongebob The Musical

“Whoooooo lives in a pineapple under the sea? SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!”

When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save the fate of their undersea world!

Spongebob The Musical stars Divina De Campo, a seasoned British drag queen and singer who was recently crowned runner up on the first Series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK as Sheldon J. Plankton. Joining Divine De Campo on stage is Tom Read Wilson best known as the receptionist on Channel 4’s Celebs Go Dating or Gareth Gates who shot to fame in 2002, coming runner up in the UK’s first Pop Idol, both will be alternating the role of Squidward.

The Gunpowder Plot
