The starter set teaches you how to build your own track by using the easy to follow tasks and blueprints, which gives you pictures to follow as well as describing which items you need for each design.
I was a little disappointed by the amount of plastic inside the box, but it does keep each part of the track separate, so they can be easily found.
This fantastic interactive STEM track system is powered by magnets, gravity and kinetic energy and has many different components that all work differently, giving children the opportunity to investigate the mechanics of how it works.
Following the blueprints is fun and gives a guaranteed result, but what it also does is inspire the kids to try and expand on the design and see if they can add to it.
It is a real trial and error to see if the Gravity Spheres stop, fly off, or reach a dead end before reaching the target, so it teaches the kids to put their problem solving skills to the test and try something different.
The blueprints start with easy builds and as the kids get more confident, they get more complicated. Isaac’s latest build includes trampetes and a zip line!
The Gravitrax Starter Kit has an RRP of £39.99 and is available in all good toy stores.
