Like many families, we have resumed schoolwork with the kids this week.
The work set by the school does not fill the day, and we are trying to reduce the amount of time spent on technology, which means that we have been looking for new ways to spend our time at home.
One thing the kids love to get involved with is gardening as planting seeds and getting your hands dirty is a fantastic way of learning about science and nature.
This spring, Sudocrem are teaming up with Britain’s top gardeners for Back to the Garden, a nationwide gardening project which you can get involved whether you’re inside or outside.
They want to help families start planting and growing seeds by offering 100 growing kits as a giveaway, as well as teaming up with gardeners all over the country to collect some ideas for fun easy projects that children can manage and enjoy.
Whether you have a garden, balcony, allotment or windowsill, gardening is something everyone can enjoy, particularly, if you have young children.
Encouraging your children to plant seeds and take an interest in growing can give them a long-term project to focus on, away from the computer. And the good news is, you don’t need a garden to get involved: creating a window box full of edible herbs can be just as inspiring as digging a vegetable patch.
Teaming up with gardeners and garden centres all over the nation, Sudocrem’s Back to the Garden campaign will encourage children and their parents to begin their own gardening projects at home or in the garden. The initiative will include tips and advice on potting plants, spotting a weed and keeping your plants healthy from gardeners all over the UK. Sudocrem will also be donating one hundred growing kits to families all over the UK to kick start their growing projects.
Soothing Gardener’s Skin…
Gardening can be harsh on delicate skin, as every gardener knows. From contact with cold water when watering the plants, digging in the mud for weeds, planting new seeds and planters, using tools – it’s a hands-on activity. Even standing outside in the sun can cause damage and dryness to the face and neck. Then there’s getting pricked by rose thorns, stung
by nettles and insects, scraped knees….
Gardener’s new best friend comes in the pocket-sized form of My Little Sudocrem, the Swiss army-knife of soothing skincare products. Loved by everyone from babies to teenagers, runners to cyclists, mountaineers to gardeners and anyone in between.
Hopeful gardeners can enter a competition to win one of 3 gardening goody bags below. Prizes include an inside or an outside gardening kit.
And for an extra chance to win £100 of garden centre vouchers, upload a photo of your garden and tag @Sudocrem and use the hashtags #BackToTheGarden & #SudocremBTTGcomp on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to enter. Terms and Conditions apply.

I remember my mum using this when me and my sister were little and I also still use it for my little ones! There was a certain incident when I took my eye off one of my 2 year old twins for a few mins and he had managed to smear a pot of it all on the stairs!
