WILF Books delivers books that your child will love, on a monthly basis. It’s operated by Callum and Amelia, two 24 year olds with a great big bursting passion for nurturing and inspiring children at a young age.

They were inspired into the idea when both of Callum’s parents started new families. As they were growing up, each time Callum bought a book, he’d buy one for each of his new siblings. Amelia is a Reception Teacher and recognised the importance of tailoring learning to an individual child’s needs and one day, they (very excitingly!) paired the two together and WILF Books was born.

There are three packages on offer, monthly £19.95, 3-monthly £55 or 6-monthly £90 subscriptions

You have to complete a simple three-minute form that enables WILF to source and select books that the parent (or child!) supplies criteria for. Questions range from age and gender, right through to individual preferences or needs that a child may have. The company then sources the most exciting books to be sent out to children on the 1st of every month, based on the preferences that the parent gives.

Within each delivery is a minimum of three books uniquely chosen for your child, with the price of the books always worth more than you pay. Each book that is delivered is delicately wrapped and tied with coloured ribbon, giving the element of surprise, wonder and curiosity to the child when they receive their monthly delivery.

It also comes with a unique handwritten note from WILF the character himself. If you like, you can even start a PenPal-like relationship with the character who inspires children to develop a love of reading! In your delivery also includes stickers, a WILF Books sharing chart and other activities that can vary on a monthly basis

The interesting thing with WILF is that you also have the option of choosing whether you’d like to become part of a unique WILF community that shares your own books back with others. The company really believes in the value of sharing, and so they give you the opportunity to send back books you no longer use and sit on your shelves, and WILF will redistribute them to other children who’s likes and interests they match! For each two books you share, you receive a sticker on the sharing chart and there’s a special prize for those that reach 10!

WILF have also just established a partnership with SchoolAid, where for every one month they distribute to a child in the UK, they’ll donate one to SchoolAid who will distribute one to a school in need, in Africa.
