Well it is safe to say that in the run up to Christmas that my weeks are getting busier and this week just gone was possibly the busiest one of all.
We started the week with a trip to LaplandUK near Ascot and it surpassed my expectations on every level and a fabulous time was had by all of us, especially the kids. Meeting the most authentic Father Christmas I have ever seen at the end of the day, who knew all about what they had been up to, filled the kids with wonder as we looked on proudly.
On Monday it was back to normal and taking the kids to and from their various clubs and Tuesday I was carless as Hubby’s was in to be investigated for an engine fault. We are still in two minds what to do with the car as it is going to cost well over £1k to fix which we just cannot afford.
Wednesday was hair cut and colour day for Eliza and I and one of Abbey’s friends kindly came to our house to do it as Thursday was a very special day indeed as we travelled up to St James’ Palace to see her collect her Duke of Edinburgh award from Duke himself. He was a very lovely man, as sharp as a tack with a wicked sense of humour and after he had moved on to the next room, we got an inspirational talk from Sarah Willingham, who was equally happy to chat to everyone.
We stayed in London overnight and met up with my cousin for a meal and drinks in Covent Garden before heading home on Friday to take Sebastian to his hearing check, which he passed with flying colours.
Saturday saw me going out again, only this time with Hubby. We were supposed to be doing the Pier Zip but sadly due to the high winds it was called off, but we still enjoyed a scrummy meal with cocktails in Aruba.
Here is my week in pictures:
333. Decorating gingerbread cookies at LaplandUK
334. Saving a goal at water polo
335. Playing with his MegaBlox
336. Haircut time for my fidget
337. Abbey with her Duke of Edinburgh Award (no pictures were allowed inside St James’ Palace sadly)
338. Waiting for Sebby’s hearing test
339. Cocktails with Hubby
