Thank goodness half term is here – the kids, in particularly Eliza, are exhausted and are in dire need of a break as it has been a very long term.
Eliza has been run down for the last couple of weeks and has succumbed to a cough and cold but she insisted on going into school everyday. Thankfully Friday was an inset day and she spent most of the day curled up on the sofa dozing which seems to have done the trick and she is feeling a bit better now.
It has been a fairly quiet week this week with our only ventures outside being school runs, shopping and a trip to hospital with Sebby for his ENT appointment, which was a complete waste of time!
We also had my BIL’s 21st Birthday meal at TGI Friday on Thursday and then Saturday was our first day of half term fun at the ExCel and MCM Comic Con
Here is my week in pictures:
291. Enjoying the Fire Engine machine outside Asda
292. Playing in the leaves after school
293. Kian forgot his keys so met us at the primary school of pick up
294. Waiting for our ENT appointment
295. My BIL Mark’s 21st Birthday
296. A snoozy day
297. Our favourite costume at MCM Comic Con
That superhero cake is amazing, my husband would love that I think 🙂 Quiet weeks are lovely sometimes aren’t they?
Poor Eliza – I do think this half term was too long. I’d prefer shorter terms and longer holidays for the children, but I guess that would cause childcare problems for many. Loving the cake – it’s fantastic!
Love the photo in the leaves and love that a ‘quiet week’ for you still includes a trip to London! Glad Eliza is feeling better. It certainly has been a long few weeks at school, we’re very glad of the break too.
We also have a teen who forgets his keys. In fact I don’t think he ever even takes them, he ‘just wanted to visit Grandma’ or ‘just felt like staying outside’. Yeah, right.
Love the photo in the leaves, and that is a cool cake! Sorry Eliza hasn’t been well, my younger son is exhausted but we don’t get a half term break, just a couple of days off for Thanksgiving. Makes for a very long term. Hope you had fun at Comic Con x
leaves are great fun to play in, one of autumns pleasures. Ooopps at forgetting his keys. Hope the ENT appointment went ok.
Aaahhh at the snoozy child.
what an amazing birthday cake, hope you’re BIL had a fab 21st birthday. It doesn’t seem like 5 mins ago since everyone was going back to school for the start of term
