5 Fun Things to do in London during the Easter Holidays

The Easter break is now upon is and my thoughts have turned to entertaining the kids for two weeks.

Why not take the kids to London and visit some of its most iconic buildings such as the Tower of London, St Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace etc.

London is packed full of fun events to keep even the fussiest of children entertained and here are some of my top picks.

Disney on Ice: Worlds of Enchantment

We are big fans of Disney on Ice and they are visiting the SSE Arena, Wembley between 4th to the 8th April with both matinée and evening shows available.

Disney On Ice

This year you can expect to be thrilled at high-speed stunts as Lightning McQueen, Mater and the crew of Disney/Pixar’s Cars race across the ice like you’ve never seen before! Dive into adventure with Ariel in The Little Mermaid’s enchanted undersea kingdom and welcome the toys back to town when Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie and the Toy Story gang escape from the rambunctious tots of Sunnyside Daycare in their most daring adventure ever!

Disney on ice

To finish off the show, you get to enter the wintry world of Arendelle with sisters Anna and Elsa and pals Olaf and Kristoff from Disney’s Frozen, as they learn that true love comes from within.

Super Hero Takeover at London Zoo

From Friday 30th March to Sunday 15th April, visitors to London Zoo are able to take part in a self-guided Superpowers Trail around the Zoo, discovering real life animals with heroic superskills.

ZSL London Zoo

Find out why lemurs let off stink bombs, discover how the mysterious axolotl regrows its limbs; try to fade into the background using a tiger’s camouflage, or pit yourself against one of the world’s strongest species – the leafcutter ant.

ZSL Superheroes

The kids are given a special comic book packed with fun activities to guide them on this exciting new animal adventure, which has interactive activities at each stop, before heading to Superhero HQ to complete their mission with some super-themed games.

ZSLSuperheroes

Dress up with Capes of Confusion, where pulling on different capes will help you hide from predators, float like a butterfly in search of ultraviolet flowers in Rainbow Rabble, or invite the whole family to help you Snag a Snack by catching sticky insects in your very own web.

Spider Web

The trail is part of ZSL’s 2018 Superhero Takeover, a year-long celebration of incredible wildlife and the ZSL superheroes working to protect animals both at home and around the world.

Visit Ferdinand at the Shard

Visit London’s highest, and best viewing platform situated at the top of The Shard. At almost twice the height of any other viewing platform in the capital, you can enjoy unparalleled 360-degree views for up to 40 miles!

Ferdinand at the Shard

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment are teaming up with the city’s famous landmark to celebrate the big smoke’s un-bull-ievable views! See London appear as a city of toys and let the children be spoilt with Ferdinand activities led by leading children’s entertainers ‘Ministry of Fun’, to celebrate the release of the film on DVD and digital download this month!

Visit Dinosaurs in the Wild at the Greenwich Peninsula

Dinosaurs in the Wild takes you on the voyage of a lifetime. Board the time machine and be transport back 67 million years to see living dinosaurs with your very own eyes.

You are transported back to the Late Cretaceous Period to see living dinosaurs such as Tyrannosaurus, Alamosaurus and Triceratops with your own eyes as well as getting to explore the incredible scientific research station, TimeBase 67.

Will you be brave enough to visit?

Enjoy a Big Day Out with Peter Rabbit

Join Peter Rabbit and his gang of furry friends to celebrate Easter at Kew Gardens. Kids will be on Cloud Nine with this Beatrix Potter extravaganza, including trips to Mr. McGregor’s shed to see how he grows his plants, DIY bunny ear workshops, storytelling sessions and Peter Rabbit fancy dress.

Big Day Out Peter Rabbit

There are daily warren building sessions too, when you can help create a home for Peter and his family, running from 30th March to 15th April.

What are your plans for the Easter holidays?

  3. So many things for little ones to do in London during the holidays – if I was their age I think I’d love the ZSL experience 🙂 and probably Disney on Ice (though not really a fan of Disney as an adult lol) x
