The Easter holiday’s are in full swing and thankfully we have had a bug free household this week.
None of us has taken any holiday for Easter, so it has been a week of juggling work, the kids work and getting the household stuff done too.
This week we have started the new series of Handmade’s Tail which is brilliant, but I am so used to binge watching now, it’s frustrating waiting for the next episode. We are also loving The Stolen Girl on Disney, but are struggling with the Good American family. I am determined to finish it though.
Here is our week:
Sunday 13th April
Because we are working all over the Easter holiday’s, we have been trying to make the most of our days off, so we arranged to meet up with Callan, Chelsea and Barney at Marwell Zoo.

It was lovely to see Barney’s first experience of the zoo and he really did take it all in. We couldn’t believe how close we got to the sloth, but Barney was definitely the most fascinated by the giraffe.

He also managed to walk almost all the way round, stopping every now and then to make one of us carry him for a bit – or swing him through the air..

Monday 14th April
My super early start at work and I was expecting a busy day, but thankfully it wasn’t too bad.
I haven’t been to my Mum’s for a couple of weeks, so have not had a chance to see if the postbox topper has been changed, but luckily someone has decorated ours for Easter.

Tuesday 15th April
The weather has been glorious, dry, sunny and warm so it’s disappointing to be stuck at work. It does mean that we are on top of the washing and its a treat to have line dried bedding after relying on the tumble drier in the winter months.

Wednesday 16th April
Eliza has got the cooking bug after baking cakes last week and has now moved on to making omelettes. I got treated to one for my lunch as it was my day off.

The rest of my day off was spent playing Mum’s taxi as the kids were off out with friends or to work.
Thursday 17th April
It is Isaac’s 17th birthday next week and although we have bought him driving lessons, we wanted to get him a couple of presents to open. Whilst doing so, we found another Mermaid’s tail.

Friday 18th April
Good Friday and a work day for me!

I did want to properly dress up, but being a woman of a certain age, a fluffy bunny costume just wouldn’t work, so I was a colourful bunny instead!
The kids weren’t sure what to make of my ears, some smiled and waved, whilst others looked horrified.
Saturday 19th April
The baking bug is continuing, this time with Eliza making chocolate Krispy nest cakes.

The baking is getting better and she has even learned how to clear up after herself now!
Hope you all have a very happy Easter.
How was your week?
I didn’t know the Handmade Take was back. I think I will just wait until it’s finished and binge it.
It sounds like a fun week! The trip to the zoo looks fab and the postbox topper is so cute!
Happy birthday to Isaac for next week.
I love your outfit for Friday! x
