Project 365 2025 – Week 15

It has been a relatively quiet week for us as we have had the dreaded lurgy in the house – typical for the start of the school holidays.

Here is our week:

Sunday 6th April

Our local attractions are starting to open after closure for the winter and we were lucky enough to be invited to the opening weekend of SandWorld in Weymouth.

It is small, but a fantastic exhibition nonetheless and the sculptures they make with just sand and water are out of this world!

There is also the opportunity to create your very own sand creations – I don’t think we will be getting a commission anytime soon, but we had fun trying.

Monday 7th April

An early start for me, but it did mean I could get the launch of the Easter Food Collection done before the store opened.

The day didn’t end well as Sebby came down with a tummy bug that evening, so spent the night looking after him and changing the bedding over and over.

Tuesday 8th April

Sebby was still poorly, although he perked up by about lunchtime.

My day was spent doing washing load after washing load.

Wednesday 9th April

I worked today as was off with Sebby yesterday and Eliza asked me to pick up some ingredients as she wanted to make a smoothy and do some baking.

The smoothy was delicious, but not quite sure what went wrong with the cakes as they were all sunken in the middle.

Thursday 10th April

It seems that Sebby wasn’t content to keep his illness to himself. Eliza, Isaac and I all succumbed to it overnight. Thankfully we were all feeling better by lunchtime.

My only photo was of this cheeky squirrel sat in one of our bird feeders on the window.

Friday 11th April

Eliza has singing lessons on a Friday, but at home and she doesn’t like us listening in, so I took Sebby out to do a Pokemon walk. Spring has definitely sprung around us as the blossom is all starting to come out.

Saturday 12th April

Despite the weather being so lovely, we have not really notified the tourists in town yet and work was relatively quiet, but I did manage to get myself caught in a protest march in the middle of Bournemouth whilst trying to drive home.

My only photo from today is of the bluebells which have come out in the garden.

Our evening was spent catching up on the new episode of Dr Who.

  1. Those sand sculptures look so interesting. I would love to visit something like this. I’m glad that you feel better. The picture of the squirrel is so cute.
