I hate to say this, but the evenings are now getting cooler and the nights are drawing in faster than I would like, so it is time to think about adding those cosy touches to the bedroom.
We were invited to review the new SIMBA Hybrid® Duvet and I was really keen to try it as I am currently struggling with hot flushes during the night and the duvet features Stratos® ‘cool-touch’ tech which is designed to help.
This technology is similar to the tech that keeps astronauts cool in space, but Simba like’s to think of it as a sort of duvet thermostat. This ingenious tech is designed to offer instant, tangible coolness and to help dissipate excess heat.
The first thing I noticed about the duvet is that it was extremely fluffy. Our previous one was wool, which was very thin in comparison.
This washable duvet is also environmentally friendly as it is filled with recycled plastic bottle fibres gently combed into airy layers, designed to allow plenty of airflow through the duvet for drier warmth, whilst the cover is cotton to encourage air circulation.
The Hybrid® Pillow is designed for revolutionary, personalised comfort, with a unique fusion of superb, down-like cushioning with innovative tech.
The cool touch technology features on the pillow as well as the duvet, whilst the mesh border and washable cotton cover encourages air circulation to help keep you cool. You can also adjust the pillow by removing or adding Innovative Nanocube® core cubes.
Both the duvet and the pillows also come with handy storage bags too, should you need to transport them anywhere.
Our Verdict:
I have to admit that I was quite skeptical about the duvet being cool as it felt quite thick and fluffy, but since using these I am sleeping so much better.
The duvet feels luxuriously fluffy, yet it keeps me warm when I need it and cool when needed. I love cold pillows, but our previous synthetic ones were never cool enough, but these Hybrid® ones stay nice and cool all night long and it feels like you are sleeping on a cloud. These really are the perfect duo for a good nights sleep.
