Project 365 2024 – Week 32

Back on track!!

This week we have finished off all the activities we have planned for the holiday’s, although I am hoping we manage to squeeze in a couple more days out at least.

Here is our week:

Sunday 4th August

A day at home alone for me as Isaac was working and Eliza and Sebby were invited to go to Ringo’s with Abbey.

I caught up with housework and washing, whilst they had a whale of a time spinning down a dry ski slope.

Monday 5th August

A work day for me and my only photo was of a solar light we were sent to review!

Got as far as assembling it, but still not put it out yet.

Tuesday 6th August

Another road trip to London and this time we stopped at Stamford Bridge as Isaac hasn’t been there since he was a baby.

There wasn’t a great deal to see, but he enjoyed wandering around the outer stadium and a visit to the club shop. £129.99 for a football shirt these days – no thank you!!

It was nice to see them celebrating both the women’s and men’s teams as well. Eliza was excited to pose with Millie Bright’s stand as she walked out with her at Wembley a few years ago.

After Stamford Bridge it was a short tube ride to Kensington, where we enjoyed the weird and wonderful Paradox Museum, where the kids had a blast setting up and posing for photo’s.

And then the real reason for our visit to London – Les Misérables.

We have seen it four times, but it was a first for Isaac and Eliza who were completely blown away by it.

Wednesday 7th August

Another day and another musical.

Eliza has been desperate to see Heather’s for over a year now and we thought we had missed our chance, but a chance tweet saw us find the UK tour and it was up the road in Portsmouth.

She has been excited for all the musicals she has seen, but this one was on another level for her. Our only disappointment was that the cast didn’t come out to sign programmes.

Thursday 8th August

Safe to say after two long days we were all shattered, but sadly I had to work.

Eliza has been keen to build reading nook in her bedroom and our Temu order of a net and lights finally arrived, so she spent the day setting it all up.

Friday 9th August

Another day at work. I had my review which went really well and then Lilah came in shopping, so I took the opportunity to take a picture of her using the blue tokens to vote, which I can use at a later date.

Saturday 10th August

I don’t think I have had such a stressful day at work for a while. Everything that could go wrong did and the summer roadshow arrived, which added to the issues.

The customers seemed to enjoy it though, and I was kicking myself as I forgot to go and collect a goody bag for me.

  1. What a fun week!
Eek! I thought the new Newcastle football shirt was expensive at £80 but that’s nothing compared to Chelsea’s.
The Paradox Museum looks like a lot of fun and how wonderful to see Les Miserables and Heather’s!

  2. The one and only musical I ever saw was Fame in 1982 (showing my age now) let me know how you get on with the solar light, I’ve been wanting to buy one. The dry ski slope looks lots of fun
