Review: The SIMBA Hybrid® Mattress Topper

One of our promises to the boys this year is to decorate their bedroom.

They have had their bunk beds for a while and it works well, with a double bed underneath for Isaac and a single for Sebby above.

The mattresses it came with were cheap and cheerful sprung mattresses, which are not the most comfortable to lie on, especially for Isaac as he is quickly growing into a young man.

As the mattresses are in good condition, I was reluctant to invest in new ones, so when we were invited to review a SIMBA Hybrid® Mattress Topper, I thought it would be the best solution.

The SIMBA Hybrid® transforms any mattress in an instant with its comfort-boosting mattress topper. Unlike a more traditional memory foam mattress topper, their innovative design combines up to 2,500 ingenious Aerocoil® springs and a layer or open-cell Simbatex® foam to keep you cooler and more cushioned. The mattress topper also includes removable, washable cover.

It arrived vacuumed packed, so in a box a lot smaller than I was expecting.

Part of the fun of unwrapping the mattress topper was seeing it puff up as the air got into it.

It isn’t heavy, but it is much easier to put onto the mattress with two people – that said, if you had a more open bed, rather than a bunk bed, you could simply just roll it on. Isaac then secured it to the mattress corners with the attached elastic attachments.

It did curl up slightly at the corner from where we unrolled it, but that was soon rectified when we made the bed.

Isaac is really happy with his new “comfy bed” and it is a brilliant way of freshening up your mattress for the fraction of the price of a new mattress. I just need to decorate their room now!

The SIMBA Hybrid® Mattress Topper is currently on offer with 35% off and costs from £161.85, depending on the size of your bed.
