Did you know that WonderDays is the fastest growing experience day company in the UK, providing unforgettable experiences that create lasting memories for individuals and groups alike.
We were invited to review one of their experiences and my only issue was choosing one, as they have so many types of experiences to choose from, from hot air ballooning to theatre shows, to spa breaks to adrenalin sports.
Isaac (15) is really into his cars, especially F1 and super cars, so when I spotted that they offer junior super car experience days I knew he would love it.
Whether you are buying for yourself or as a gift, ordering is really easy. Purchase your voucher online and choose from either an e-voucher or a gift voucher. The recipient then uses the voucher on the WonderDays website, where it takes you through how to book your experience.
There are lots of venues to choose from for the junior super car experience and we looked through several to find the cars that Isaac wanted to drive, eventually settling on Ardingly Show Ground in West Sussex. On the day, you get yourself booked in during your time slot and are then called to a waiting area when it is your turn to drive.
You can choose to just use your voucher, or add pay extra options, which include a spotting lap of the track, a racing lap in a BMW with a driver and a ride in the Atom, which accelerates from 0-100mph in 2.6 seconds, plus a recommended collision damage insurance.
Our arrival time was 1.30pm, we booked in on time and Isaac was in a car and driving by 2.15pm.
You get three miles, or the equivalent of three laps of the track in each car you choose, accompanied by an expert passenger to keep everyone safe and sound!
Although three laps doesn’t take very long, we were there a good four hours as there is a fair bit of waiting around in between drives.
You are welcome to take as many photos and videos as you like, and they also film in car footage of Isaac driving and have an official photographer taking photos of each of the drivers, which you can purchase at the end of your session.
We did purchase the fast rally car experience and literally flew around the track as passengers. Both my husband and I went for the imaginary brake a few times, whilst the kids thought it was a brilliant ride.
Isaac loved driving the cars and managed to reach just over 50mph, but his highlight of the entire day was his drive in the Atom, which he likened to being in a rollercoaster.
Top Tips for the Junior Supercar Driving Experience
- Take camping chairs or a picnic rug as there is quite a lot of waiting around
- If taking younger siblings who are not driving, take activities for them to do. There is plenty of room to kick a ball
- Take food / drink. There is a small catering van, but it didn’t have much choice
- Be prepared to pay extra for additional experiences, many are offered at discounts throughout the day
- Photo’s and Video’s are available to purchase after their driving experience. Please allow at least half an hour on top of your day to get them
Buying an experience for someone is great gift as it is something that they will treasure forever.
