Project 365 2023 – Week 21

It has been a week of exams for Isaac and a week of revision for Eliza, as she has her exams after half term. All three kids are counting down the days until their week off.

We were lucky enough t o go to two events this week, a car show and the opening of the new Flip Out and Putt Putt Noodle in Poole.

Here is our week:

Sunday 21st May

I donated some items to a local school for their fundraising car show and decided to take my car loving boys along to have a look.

They were offering drives in some of the cars in return for a donation and Isaac chose the Focus RS. We were taken for a spin around Sandbanks and although we didn’t get to experience its full capability, it was fun nonetheless.

Eliza was also in her element with all the animals that were also there. Just need to convince her that we don’t need a snake, or a spider as a pet.

Monday 22nd May

My early work day and then a trip to Portsmouth for a Community Champion meeting.

It was lovely catching up with the team and finding out what initiatives are coming up soon and how we have been raising money. It is nice to see everyone doing well with my charity bookstand idea.

Tuesday 23rd May

Enjoyed a fairly chilled day at work – the calm before the storm of a bank holiday weekend.

The garden is starting to dry out now, so we can start using it again. Just need to clear out one corner where the trampoline used to be, as it has become a bit of a dumping ground.

Wednesday 24th May

My day at preschool and I spent it making fruit cocktails with the kids.

Thursday 25th May

Christchurch Priory

Made the most of a day off with my husband and went for a walk around Christchurch.

We ended up doing 7 miles, so treated ourselves to our first ice cream at the beach, of the year.

Friday 26th May

We don’t get invited to many blog events these days, but today we were invited to launch of Flip Out and Putt Putt Noodle in Poole.

Despite the name, Flip Out doesn’t have any trampolines, but it does have bumper cars, e-karting, laser quest, a roller rink, soft play, air cannons and a football strike area. The roller rink wasn’t open, much to Eliza’s disappointment, but they all had lots of fun.

Putt Putt Noodle is set just behind Flip Out and features three Asian themed mini golf courses and Asian street food. Eliza was most excited to find they also serve her favourite Bubble Tea.

Saturday 27th May

My last day at work before half term and it was very, very busy.

My husband’s favourite biscuits are Happy Faces, but we haven’t been able to find them anywhere for years – however, we were very excited to discover that his Mum has found them in a rival supermarket!!

  1. Sounds like it was a fun week. We love crazy golf, and the Flip out activity choices sound brilliant. I wish we had a few more places like that near us.

  2. I hope the exams went well. We are half way through them and the half term is very welcomed just to have a rest.
The car show sounds like fun and the Flip Out place looks fantastic.
Oh wow! I haven’t seen those Happy Faces biscuits for years. x

  3. Ditto to the lack of blog events and I;m getting less review opps too as the kids get older 🙁 The car show and animals looks like a fab time for the whole family. I love Christchurch and had my first holiday there when it was just me and baby Matthew. #project365

  4. I love Happy Face biscuits, sadly can’t eat them anymore due to wheat allergy. The ice cream treat was well deserved and well done with the charity book stall.

  5. Looks like your boys enjoyed the car show and I love the photo of Eliza holding the snake. The Flip Out and Putt Putt Noodle event looks like it was fun. I can’t remember when I last went to a blog event! Hope all went well with Isaac’s exams and that Eliza’s also go well. #project365
