It is really starting to feel Christmassy now, especially now the temperature has dropped.
This week didn’t really go to plan as I managed to catch the respiratory virus that has been doing the rounds, but we still managed to fit in some fun stuff.
Here is our week:
Sunday 4th December
It was my Mum’s birthday this week, so we booked an afternoon tea treat at a gorgeous hotel on the Jurassic Coast.
The hotel was beautifully decorated and really put us in the Christmas mood. I have serious decoration goals now!!
Lilah was supposed to stay at home with her Dad, but he was poorly so she joined us. It is a good job she did, as we found Santa was visiting at the same time.
Monday 5th December
For Mother’s Day, back in March, the family bought me tickets to see Westlife and tonight was finally the night to see them!!
Unfortunately, Mark wasn’t performing as he has pneumonia, but they still put on a brilliant show.
Tuesday 6th December
We have been letting Willow out to explore on a daily basis and she has a real fondness for climbing on our Christmas present decorations and going to sleep.
Wednesday 7th December
My preschool day and I started to loose my voice. We seem to have lots of respiratory bugs going round the school at the moment,
Willow has been off exploring again. I think she is going to miss the decorations when they come down.
Thursday 8th December
The first properly cold day we have had this year and it was -6°C when I took the kids to school. It did look beautiful though.
Apart from the school runs, I didn’t venture outside as I wasn’t feeling great and completely lost my voice – much to the amusement of the kids.
Friday 9th December
Another below freezing school run, only this time it wasn’t as pretty as it was dreary outside. I still haven’t got my voice back either!
In the evening, the kids headed to their first pantomime of the year, Beauty and the Beast at the Pavilion in Bournemouth.
Saturday 10th December
Lilah is 3!!!!
We arrived at Peppa Pig World at opening time and it was -2°C, which meant that only a handful of rides were open.
We spent the morning with Lilah, enjoying all the rides the kids used to love, before finally getting to ride the bigger rollercoasters, once they had defrosted in the afternoon.
How was your week?
Looks like a pretty festive week! That afternoon tea looks great! We haven’t been to any pantomimes this year. I don’t think Minu would sit still for long enough.
Oh no, I hope you are feeling better now.
That afternoon tea looks amazing, happy birthday to your mum. How lovely that you got to see Santa.
It looks like Willow has been having a great time exploring.
Happy birthday to Lilah, it sounds like a good day out despite the freezing weather. x
They’re doing Beauty and the Beast at Malvern Theatre this year too, I doubt I’ll be going as no one wants to come with me, will have to wait till our grandchildren get a bit older for that again. love the bauble Christmas tree.
How lovely to go for afternoon tea with your mum – it looks delicious. The hotel Christmas decorations are gorgeous as well. Glad you enjoyed going to see Westlife. It has been freezing hasn’t it, but the frost does look very pretty. Happy belated birthday to Lilah, looks like you had a great day at Paultons Park. #project365
well done for braving the cold! Very jealous of you seeing Westlife but shame Mark was too ill to perform. #project365
