Review: Dantoy Green Garden – Mini Greenhouse Set

Dantoy is a lovely Danish brand who’s toys are fully sustainable and made of bio-plastic which are free of dangerous chemicals. Their mantra is to create longer-lasting, educational and imaginative play experiences and we have previously reviewed their Barbecue Set.

One of the best playing experiences for toddlers is role play, where they act out a situation they see at home or television. Role play is a vital area of child development, as it builds confidence, creativity, communication, physical development and problem solving, along with being a fun activity.

Add this to the natural environment and you are onto a winner as nature is a multi-sensory learning environment, where children experience the joy of learning about the natural world.

Lilah has recently enjoyed growing a sunflower at home, so when we were invited to review the Dantoy Green Garden – Mini Greenhouse Set, I knew she would love it.

This set is a whole mini greenhouse, where children can grow, care for and care for their own plants and vegetables and when they have finished playing, it can be used to store the toys away tidily.

The playset is very versatile as it is suitable for both play and the cultivation of living plants.

The mini greenhouse includes plant sticks that can help you remember what you have sown where and how many you planted, great for teaching early numeracy skills. There is even a label sheet where the child can draw or write on and subsequently stick on the plant sticks.

The Dantoy Green Garden – Mini Greenhouse Set has an RRP of £32.00 and is available from Amazon and Cool Shop UK.

  1. Role play is so great for their imagination and their ability to play on their own. My son used to want to play shops constantly, bless him.

  3. Wow my great grandchildren would love this, and they will work together. Such a great toy but real as they do some growing at school, just things like green beans, cress, some flowers to make teachers smile. They go to the strawberry farm, and pick strawberries, and they love going outside. So this would be wonderful for them

  4. I love how it’s bioplastic. Who knew sugar cane could be the future of toys. I hope other companies can learn from this and move away from plastic
