January seems to have gone on forever, doesn’t it?
Isaac ended the month with COVID and I started February with it, thankfully we both had / have mild symptoms.
Here is our (very quiet) week:
Sunday 30th January
Sunday is normally a busy day with three lots of swimming, but with Isaac isolating I only had two – once for Eliza with Branksome Surf Lifesaving and the second was with her Synchro in the evening.
They have started working on their routines for a competition in the summer and it is lovely to see it starting to come together.
Monday 31st January
We were hoping that Isaac would start testing negative from day 5, but sadly not, so more home schooling for him despite feeling perfectly well.
The highlight of the day was spotting half a rainbow at school pick up time.
Tuesday 1st February
With Isaac still testing positive, my husband worked an early shift and I worked late night. When I finished, this brazen fox was wandering around the car park scavenging for food – he wasn’t fazed about our presence at all.
Wednesday 2nd February
Eliza and I took a road trip through the New Forest to Lymington to have her new braces fitted.
Eliza has an underbite, so the braces have been designed to gently push her front four teeth forward.
She found them really uncomfortable at first and can’t talk properly, but we were assured that she will get used to them.
Thursday 3rd February
A few weeks ago I got approached to do a review for flowers, but I never heard anything back. Today I came home to find a gorgeous bunch of tulips waiting for me.
In other good news, Isaac finally tested negative for COVID on day 9, but he still needs to wait until next week to return to school.
Friday 3rd February
We have been doing LFT’s daily since Isaac first got COVID and all were clear until today. I have had a sore throat and a niggly cough for the last couple of days and today was the day that I tested positive.
As the day wore on, I began to feel worse. My main symptom seems to be a headache behind my left eye, my whole face aching and a cough. Thankfully cold & flu tablets help.
Saturday 4th February
Isaac’s first day out and his Dad took him to Brownsea Island for his Young Conservationist day before work.
I am feeling guilty as Sebby was supposed to go to a birthday party this afternoon, but now cannot go as there is no-one to take him as his Dad is working late night.
My symptoms today are a cough, tight chest and a dull headache. Thankfully I think I only have it mildly, thanks to being triple jabbed.
How was your week?
January did last forever! I am glad to see the back of it.
I’m glad Isaac is feeling better and I hope you are too after Covid.
Oh wow! That fox is brave! You don’t usually see them in such a busy place. x
Bummer to getting Covid just as Isaac’s clear. N just tested positive on Saturday with headache and snotty nose, so I’m expecting we’d be positive at some point. He’s a lot better on day 2 so hopefully he won’t have to wait til the 10 days to be negative. I wish N was still swimming. He didn’t want to do the lifeguarding, but I’d said we should go swimming in half term as he’s not swum since 2 days before lockdown 1. That’s if I don’t test positive between now and then! Hope you feel better soon.
So sorry to hear you have covid now, it must be so frustrating for you, especially with the kids missing out on activities. Love the half rainbow, looks like it’s floating. Lovely flowers, enjoy
Sorry to hear that you now have Covid and hope that you are better soon. Braces do take a bit of getting used to – hope that Eliza gets used to hers quickly. Those tulips are beautiful, what a lovely surprise. #project365
Sorry to hear that you’ve got it but glad that Isaac is finally free. Lovely view of the coast. Hope you are feeling better now #365
Ahhh no! Sorry to hear you have covid although good that it is mild. Hope you manage to test negative quickly so things can get back to normal for you.
Glad you didn’t have severe symptoms, neither did my two! We’re on day 6 and 7 and they are now negative but M’s on day 5 came up positive immediately so I was worried! Hoping the rest of you stay clear… #project365
Sorry to hear Covid has hit the house. Glad it doesn’t seem to have hit you too hard.
My eldest had braces and they soon get used to it.
Sorry to read you were hit with covid. Glad that you only had mild symptoms. It felt like Little E tested positive forever. She was easily off of school for two weeks #365
Sorry to learn that you have a slight case of covid. I hope you receive the results back shortly so you can get your life back to normal.
