It hasn’t been the best week for me, with issues at work which I found quite stressful.
Luckily the kids are all feeling better and we did enjoy a night out at the pantomime, not once, but twice, which is always a great tonic.
COVID wise, restrictions are back, with compulsory mask wearing in shops again and customers grumbling. In fact, our first panto we didn’t have to wear masks whilst sat down, but for the second we did.
Here is our week:
Sunday 5th December
Thankfully everyone is starting to feel better and I started a relaxing Sunday off, with a bath and a rainbow bath bomb.
It was a day spent catching up on house admin, so didn’t take any other photos.
Monday 6th December
Isaac is home schooling this week because they are struggling with staff absence and it was a bit of a challenge keeping Lilah away from him. Thankfully, Eliza and Sebby are still in school and Sebby came out with his first Christmas card and his Christingle he made.
Lilah was fascinated by our Christmas lights when we left to take her home.
Tuesday 7th December
Another day with Lilah and the weather was awful, so we had to stay at home. Thankfully the rain cleared by school pick up time, so I put her in her puddle suit and let her splash around.
In the evening, we headed into Bournemouth to see Peter Pan at the Pavilion.
After missing out last year, it was great to be back at the pantomime and the kids loved joining in with the jeers and cheers and once it had finished we took advantage of the empty gardens to see Christmas Tree Wonderland.
Wednesday 8th December
Back to work for me and the only photo from the day, is a selfie our cheeky elves took, after decorating our picture with googly eyes.
Thursday 9th December
Work again and I have to admit it’s been stressful, with lots of issues and equipment failure. Luckily our local rotary club were on hand to bring some Christmas cheer.
Friday 10th December
Lilah’s 2nd birthday – I cannot believe she is 2 already!
In the evening, it was our second pantomime of the week, this time at Lighthouse in Poole.
Again, we loved joining in with traditional pantomime banter and Chris Jarvis did his take on the 12 days of Christmas carol, which the kids raucously joined in with. The theatre was full of beavers, cubs and scouts and I think I am still a little deaf from all the cheering.
Saturday 11th December
Sadly another work day for me and I have to admit its no better. The kids were excited about a special delivery which arrived today.
They have adopted a Zebra at Wild Place Project in Bristol and as part of the package, got a wooden zebra to decorate at home.
I am looking forward to watching the Strictly semi-finals tonight and then a day off tomorrow.
How was your week?
Oh no, sorry you have had a stressful time at work. The bath sounds a good way to relax. What a pretty bath bomb.
The pantos sound like great fun and the googly eyes on your photo did make me chuckle.
Happy Birthday to Lilah. I hope she had a great day. x
Shame work’s been stressful, I suppose it gets worse nearer Christmas. Glad the kids are better and you’ve got out to the pantos. Those gardens look so pretty. Hope Lilah had a lovely birthday
Love your Christmas lights. Glad you got to see a couple of pantos and that photo of the Christmas Tree Wonderland is beautiful. The googly eye picture made me smile. Happy 2nd birthday to Lilah, hope she had a lovely day. #project365
We have the projector too for our Christmas lights. I hope Lilah had a wonderful birthday. Giggling at your googly eye photo, those cheeky elves! #project365
Sorry to hear that work has been stressful, love the googly eye idea may steal that for tonight as I am running out of ideas. We are hoping to get to a panto on Christmas Eve as we have not been to one for several years and it will be Harry’s first but not sure it will actually happen! Hope Lilah had a lovely birthday, 2 is by far my favourite age.
Happy 2nd Birthday to Lilah. Glad you enjoyed the panto, the Christmas Tree lights, look fab.
That rainbow bath bomb looks ace! So glad you got to enjoy a panto or two before Christmas, I haven’t been to one in ages!
