Review: Waterhaul Litter Pickers

Since COVID19, looking after our local community and local environment has never been more important.

One thing that infuriates me is litter. Living by the sea, especially in the summer months, we have a real problem with litter on our beaches and I have taken part in litter picks as part of my role as a Community Champion.

Isaac is a Young Conservationist volunteer on Brownsea Island and on their litter pick on one beach in November, they collected a staggering 45kg of litter and managed to rescue some shore crabs in the process.

We were invited to review some Litter Pickers from Waterhaul, which are great for the environment because they are made from old recycled fishing nets, ocean plastics or face masks.

Waterhaul say the tools we use for tackling plastic pollution shouldn’t be adding to the problem we’re fighting, so they created a litter picker with the green handle, trigger and jaw components made from 100% recycled polypropylene fishing gear.

The litter pickers made from face masks are blue in colour and the plastic components made from 100% recycled PPE sourced from the NHS.

The litter pickers are lightweight, sturdy and easy to use, making collecting rubbish a doddle.

The Waterhaul litter pickers come in two styles, folding and non folding ones, so you take one out on a country walk and store it safely in your backpack until you need it and all have an RRP of £15.
