Review: Learning Fun with Peppa Pig

At nearly two, Lilah’s vocabulary is growing by the day and she loves chatting away to all of us, even her toys.

We are starting to build on her words now, by introducing colours and numbers, so when we were invited to review some Peppa Pig Learning toys, we jumped at the chance.

Peppa Pig Phonic Alphabet

There are 4 activities to play in this fun Peppa Pig interactive toy.

There are 8 interactive play cubes which help develop a basic knowledge of letters, numbers and colours, as well as providing an early introduction to phonics and spelling.

Peppa-Pig-Toy

Lilah enjoys putting the cube into the dress and we currently have it set so Peppa states the colour, or number. As Lilah gets older, you can choose the activity where Peppa asks her to find the cube with the correct answer to the question, and to insert this into the front of Peppa’s dress.

Skills to learn include: speech & language development, basic problem solving, colour recognition, and fine motor development.

Peppa’s Phonic Alphabet has an RRP of £20 and comes with a handy storage bag for the cubes.

Peppa’s Flip and Learn Phone

What child doesn’t like pretending to talk on a phone and Lilah is no different.

Now she can make and receive calls with Peppa’s Flip & Learn phone.

Press the multi-coloured buttons to make the screen light up and listen to Peppa and other favourite characters from the popular TV show talk, including Rebecca Rabbit, Suzy Sheep and Candy Cat!

Peppa Phone

At the moment, she likes to press the buttons and pretend to take pictures, but as she gets older, she will be able to play along with Peppa’s fun quiz and use the number keys to answer.

Peppa’s Flip and Learn phone has an RRP of £10 and recommended for ages 18 months and over.

Peppa Pig Count with Peppa

Count with Peppa’ helps develop counting skills, colour and picture recognition.

Peppa comes with 10 interactive play coins to put into Peppa’s purse, with 8 different activities to try.

Lilah found the coins quite tricky to insert into Peppa’s purse at first, but she has grasped it now. As the coins are put in, Peppa recognises which coins have been inserted and responds accordingly with one of the activity games.

Peppa Pig Count with Peppa also plays 3 songs from the TV series and has an RRP of £20. It is currently included in the 2 for £30 promotion at Argos.
