We are on countdown to the summer holidays and after 18 months of unsettled schooling, being in and out of lockdown, I am keen for as normal a summer as possible.
One thing I will be encouraging the kids to do is read, as continuing reading throughout the holiday’s the perfect way for your child to pursue his/her individual interests and at the same time maintain and strengthen important reading skills such as vocabulary and comprehension.
We recently took the Summer Reading Challenge with Books2Door, who select books that they know children love, from treasured classics to the latest must-have series and all at affordable prices
The kids chose a box set each, with Sebby opting for Star Wars Jedi Academy, Eliza choosing the Ben Miller series and Isaac the Kid Normal books by Greg James.
Now, thanks to Books2Door.com, you could win £50 to spend on the kids books of your choice
