Christmas is going to be very different this year and we are missing our usual festive days out.
SEA LIFE knows that this year the festive season is going to be very different especially for those in Tier 3 locked-down areas, but are determined not to let the pandemic spoil one of the most wonderful times of the year, so they’ve launched an exciting new virtual Santa experience that brings Santa right into the comfort of your own home.
Combining the powers of modern technology with a big sprinkle of tradition, families can now experience a personalised meet and greet via Zoom.
The zoom experience lasts around 10 minutes in total and starts with Santa’s little helper, Binky Tinselsmith, and SEA LIFE’S cheeky penguins guiding you through a magical winter wonderland, before you are zoomed into Santa’s grotto to speak the main himself.
Here your little ones are invited to chat directly with Santa in his cosy lodge and tell him their festive wishes, he even knew all their names before he came on screen. Eliza asked for Laa Laa for Lilah, a colouring set for herself and Sebby threw a curve ball and requested a cuddly Baby Yoda for himself. Lilah wasn’t sure at first, but was soon gurgling away at the screen.
This experience costs £30 per family and as many people can join the call as you like, Isaac joined from his laptop at our house, as Eliza and Sebby were with Abbey for the day.
We did have a slight internet issue halfway through the call, but thankfully we rejoined using Abbey’s smartphone on 4G.
Each booking receives a free child’s ticket to visit SEA LIFE at a location, date and time to suit them, plus you can also get a recording of your experience to keep forever. (Offer excludes London and Blackpool).
You can buy your experience and find out more by heading to the Sea Life Birmingham website. This fab experience is available all the way up until 24th December.

That is such good value if lots of people can join in. I think it’s amazing how clever some companies are being x
Cases are surging here and the usual events with Santa have been canceled. This is a terrific way for the kids to feel special and enjoy the magic of Christmas and Santa safely.
I think it’s such a nice idea that people are doing virtual santa visits because it means kids don’t lose out this festive season x
This is such a lovely way for children to get that ‘Santa experience’ in a much safer way. I suspect this may feel even more special to them too.
With everything going on it’s great to see there are ways kids can still see Santa as it were. That sounds lovely, I will need to look at something like that for my son.
What a fantastic idea to still get children to be involved in a virtual santa experience. We have missed heading out this year and would love to participate in a similar event
Virtual Santa experience sounds absolutely lovely and definitely will recommend it to my brother.
We did this and loved it! Such a great idea and we can’t wait to go back to Sea Life!
Love the idea of a virtual santa experience. Fantastic that you get a video of it to keep and a free child’s ticket to go to sealife in the future.
This sounds really great if you cant get to visit a sea centre. It really fab that you get to keep a recording of your experience to save and watch over and over again
Hey people!
