Here we go again!!
The rules changed again on Monday 14th September, meaning we can only meet in groups of 6. As a family of 6 already, this means we cannot see anyone else.
As the week has gone, more and more of the UK has been entering a stricter lockdown, especially up North and the papers of full of news of an earlier than expected second wave.
It certainly isn’t looking good.
Here is our week in pictures……..
Sunday 13th September
A much needed day off for me, so I made the most of it and took Sebby to see his Godparents, where they got him and Eliza to work picking fruit and veggies in their garden.
In the afternoon Abbey came round with Lilah and we took the kids to the park.
The new lockdown rules which come in on Monday means we shouldn’t see each other, but Abbey is my childcare for when I work, so not sure what we are going to do.
Sunday is a swimming night for Eliza and Isaac and it’s a bit of a nightmare as Eliza swims from 4.40-5.30pm and then Isaac from 6.45 – 7.45pm and its a 25 min drive from home, so I felt a taxi. Thankfully the weather was warm and dry, so I headed off for a walk whilst they were swimming.
Monday 14th September
The weather forecast was for a glorious day, but it started off very misty and murky.
A work day for me, with pre-school in the morning and Tesco in the afternoon. My husband and Kian made the most of a day off together and headed off for a bike ride along the beach, now it is allowed again.
Another swimming night for us, with Sebby’s first lesson since lockdown and a session for Eliza too.
Tuesday 15th September
Work for me in the morning and I spent the afternoon catching up on blog stuff before picking the kids up. Tuesday is swimming for Isaac and I took Eliza and Sebby to find the new play area I found on Sunday’s walk.
Let’s just say it was a big hit. I am just hoping the evenings stay light enough to use it for a while, whilst Isaac is swimming.
Wednesday 16th September
Another day of working in both pre-school and Tesco. I did head downstairs in the morning to the overwhelming feeling I was being watched!!
Thursday 17th September
Most of my Tesco shifts are evening, but today I had a day shift, so we made the most of the warm weather with a BBQ. Will it be the last one of the year………possibly as the weather changes next week.
Friday 18th September
FUMING!!!!
Kian’s last shift at Splashdown before he heads back to university next week and his bike gets stolen!!
Luckily Tower Park is covered by CCTV, so they have an image of the culprit, who spend over 10 minutes trying to saw through the bike lock. Just hoping that the police catch him and Kian gets his bike back, but they have so much on their plate I doubt we will see it again.
Saturday 19th September
Kian has promised the kids he will take them to Splashdown before he goes back to university, so I dropped them off for an afternoon of fun, finished off with a KFC.
How has your week been?
This week has been absolutely crazy and glad its all over but with the new rules not sure how we gonna manage.
It really isn’t good. I am imaginig a full lockdown soon. Eek!
The kids look very happy with the veg they picked.
It looks like you had fun at the parks.
Oh no! That is rotten about Kian’s bike been stolen. I hope he does get it back. x
Our numbers here have been slowly rising again, some people are just not taking things seriously or appropriately. I think we will have another lockdown. That stinks about the stolen bike, I hope they find the person that took it and get it back.
That play area looks like such a lot of fun! I am so sorry Kian’s bike got stolen, that’s awful – I hate that people have to steal things instead of buying their own.
I’m sure if you form a bubble with Abbey you should be ok for child care, I’m also guessing that you don’t all have to go out as a family of 6 to meet others, surely 2 or 3 of you could meet up with 2 or 3 others, although I may be wrong, there’s only me here so I don’t have to think about the logistics of that. I’m meeting my niece next week, they are a family of 6, but her husband will be at work so we’ll still only be 6 in total
Sorry to hear that Kian’s bike was stolen – that’s terrible! I hope the police manage to find out who did it x
It’s hard with the rules not being able to meet up with anyone outside your family and the rise in Covid cases is certainly worrying. Sebby and Eliza look like they enjoyed picking fruit and vegetables. Those swimming times are frustrating with the gap in the middle. We have a similar thing with Sophie’s dance classes. That play area looks fun – Isaac certainly looks like he is enjoying it. I’m so sorry that Kian’s bike was stolen – what a horrible thing to happen. I hope he does get it back. #project366
Gosh that makes things so difficult for you with the new rules doesn’t it, I hope you can figure it out. Looks like a fab play park for the kids to enjoy #366
It must have been difficult managing all your children without help. I am very pleased to say our over 60 swim session has restarted so I could go swimming for the first time this year.
That’s horrible to hear that Kians bike got stolen, especially when you don’t want to be getting public transport at the moment. I hope you guys get on okay without being able to go out with more people with the 6 person cap x
How frustrating about the bike. Fingers crossed it turns up. Glad the back to swimming is going ok. Typical there’s always gaps between lessons.
I cannot get my head around the fact that it’s been 38 weeks already. It’s awful that at the moment there’s no end it sight for it either.
Oh my, that slide it ace! I would have loved that as a kid, what a fabulous find! It’s all madness right now, my hometown has been on local lockdown for weeks now, but you would never think so!
Loving Eliza’s dress, wouldn’t mind one in my size, love bold prints!
Is there any news on Kian’s bike? How did someone manage to saw through the lock for 10 mins with noone noticing?! Ridiculous! 🙁 Hope you are having a lovely week! Sim x
How frustrating about the bike. Fingers crossed it turns up. Glad the back to swimming is going ok. We aren’t back swimming yet here xx
The whole lockdown thing is stressful but thinking it may continue to get stricter.
That slide looks fun!
So sorry to hear about the bike…thats just horrible.
38 weeks! God it just doesn’t seem that long ! Wow I’m totally jealous of your fruit and veggies!
Poor Kian! So annoying about his bike especially on his last shift. It’s difficult with these new rules isn’t it? They don’t seem very practical.
The covid rules changes are tough so hope you are able to keep in touch virtually outside your bubble. I find it frustrating as my parents live 2 streets away but we can only see one at a time while my kids are in class with 30 other kids each day. #project366
So sorry to hear about the bike? Have you got it back yet? The rule of six is silly hope you manage to work out a way round it for childcare. Looking at your photos reminds me of the good weather its awful here at the moment. Fingers crossed that we do not end up with a National lockdown
OoOoO great of the parents to keep the kids busy. Pretty pond. Yep, it looks misty. I’d love to be watched by a squirrel, they’re so cute. Cool slide! The barbecue looks tempting. KFC!
