So, things have relaxed again and the 2 metre social distancing rule has been reduced to 1 meter+, although at work we are sticking with 2 metres.
The weather has been rubbish this week, which has meant no visitors to our beaches and a much calmer week all in all.
Today hairdressers have opened, with added PPE and I was lucky enough to get a hair appointment straight away, with the boys booked in for next week.
Here is our week………
Sunday 28th June
I worked all day and the shop was fairly busy, whilst my husband took the kids to Nanny’s house where they played in the garden and in the common behind her house.
The parks and play equipment have been closed off since March and our local council has started re-opening them, so the kids got to play on the zipline.
Although mine are more than happy seeing who can climb the highest up the tree.
Monday 29th June
Isaac joined Sebby and Eliza by going back to school. He was really nervous and had to be coaxed out of the car but when when I picked him up he would not stop talking about how much fun he had.
Whilst he was there, my husband took Kian to Bristol to pick up the rest of his belongings as his tenancy ran out on 30th June and I headed to Salisbury to pick up a lazy spa pump as ours had developed a leak and after contacting the company to get a replacement, we discovered we were a couple of weeks out of warranty – typical!!
I stopped for a quick wander around the Cathedral and discovered they had an exhibition of sculptures on display in the grounds, which is well worth seeing if you are in the area.
Tuesday 30th June
Tuesday is my pre-school work day, which was eventful as we had a fire drill. It was handled brilliantly with all the classes social distancing on the field in their own allocated areas. When we got home we finished our Wicked Vision Toys review.
Wednesday 1st July
With all three kids at school, my husband and I headed to Sculpture by the Lakes near Dorchester.
We always see the signs when we visit my mum, but we normally have the kids with us and under 14’s are not allowed, so it was the perfect time to visit.
We spent a good three hours wandering around, enjoying the peace and tranquility. The sculptures are fantastic and it is a real instagrammers paradise with quotes alongside the sculptures, which all compliment the nature around them.
When we had finished we popped to see my Mum as she lives 10 minutes up the road and enjoyed some tea and cake in the garden before heading home to pick the kids up.
Thursday 2nd July
I spent the morning catching up with blog reviews whilst the kids were at school and then had a shift on the door at work. It was really quiet and I ended up working on the shopfloor, which is not my natural territory but it made a nice change.
Friday 3rd July
Another full day of work for me, which was really busy, so the time went nice and fast. The only picture I have is of Kian’s game being installed that he brought home with him from university.
Saturday 4th July
As soon as I knew that hairdressers were reopening I contacted my hairdresser to see if she could fit me in and she gave me today. She arrived at my house in full PPE and did both mine and Eliza’s hair, with me having some highlights and a cut and Eliza having a trim.
Now just for the boys to be done next week!!
How has your week been?
Our park reopened today but I’ve not told my youngest yet, we’re in no rush to visit yet.
I am glad the return to school has gone well for all the kids.
My girls love those skipping ropes from Wicked Vision.
Ohh! How exciting to get a hair appointment and your hair done. It looks fab.
Gorgeous photos.
I hadn’t really thought about the park reopening. There’s one with a zipwire next to the tennis courts, so N might get to have a go when we get round to playing tennis. Lucky getting the hair slot. My hairdressers asked people to request an appointment, and they’re working their way through those who have missed them. No idea when I’ll actually be able to get one given I’m working during the week. But want to leave it til we don’t have to wear masks. Can’t see how that can really work when cutting hair.
It sounds like you’ve had a really busy week. How nice to have a little day out with your husband! I’m glad Isaac enjoyed his return to school after being nervous.
Your hair looks lovely. My husband and younger son are going to go to the barber at some point in the next couple of weeks, but my eldest doesn’t need it as my husband did a remarkably good job on his!
Well done on getting the hair appointments! The sculpture park looks wonderful and the cathedral in Salisbury is so pretty.
why are under 14’s not allowed at the sculpture park? Do you think it was designed to make it Instagram friendly? Nice to get some time away from the children.
All the uni digs here are closed as well and I saw they were getting new windows the last time we passed despite the building being less than 10 yrs old.
Nice to get your hair done, looking good.
The children look very happy about being able to play on the zipline again. Glad Isaac enjoyed being back at school. How lovely to have that time with your husband visiting the Sculptures by the Lakes. It does look very tranquil there. How nice to be able to get your hair cut again. #project366
The children look very happy about being able to play on the zipline again. My youngest two are desperate to get outside. Glad Isaac enjoyed being back at school. That’s lovely to have that time with your husband visiting the Sculptures by the Lakes. xx
Sculpture by the lake looks really interesting. Must have been nice to have a few hours enjoying them without the kids!
Glad you managed to get a haircut!
Don’t know if I have said it before but Eliza is the absolute spit of you! Some fab images this week and good news the beaches weren’t as packed as the other week! You enjoy the free time whilst all the kids are back in, enjoy it whilst you can… because the summer holidays are upon us! :/ Sim x
Lovely to see children enjoying themselves in the playground, and the zip wire. Our local playground was finally opened last week too.
How strange that the under 14s are not allowed to the sculpture park. The sculptures by the lake look intriguing.
Glad you were able to see your hairdresser.
Love the hair! We are desperate to get an appointment for all of us but have decided to wait until it is slightly less busy. #project366
Salons haven’t opened here yet, my father and brother are cutting each other’s hair. The park looks like fun. Glad the kids are enjoying school. The painting on the wall looks amazing. The cathedral looks beautiful and the sculptures look amazing. The swing looks cool. Wow, I love your hair!
Oh the sculptures look great and I can see what you mean about an instagrammers dream. Must have been nice to have some time on your own together. Mine cant wait to get to the park!
