Finding the perfect bag for travel can be a challenge.
Too big and it becomes cumbersome and heavy to lug around, but if it is too small you cannot carry everything you need.
In the past, when the kids were younger, we relied on backpacks for all the paraphernalia you need when leaving the house with small children, however, now they are older I am after something a little more stylish.
Gaston Luga is a Swedish backpack retailer located in the heart of Stockholm and they have a beautiful selection of back packs for every occasion.
I have to admit that I fell in love with their bags straight away and they reminded me of a top quality, old fashioned school satchel in their design.
The exterior is minimalist and elegant, yet there are many functional features including a pocket at the back of the backpack which has been specially designed for things needed to be easily accessible yet kept safe (i.e. passport, cash).
Each backpack is also equipped with an inner tablet/laptop compartment, making it a good choice for work and travel.
I have to admit it was a struggle choosing with design I wanted as I had two favourites, but in the end I opted for the largest of their range: the Pråper.
It is the perfect bag for travelling as has a lovely and roomy interior, a strong, rugged build and the innovative adjustable hooks provide extra-secure closure – my kids still cannot figure out how to open it.
I have used it for a few weeks now and it is the perfect size for me. I have managed to hide some cheeky Christmas present purchases inside and it has even managed to store all the goodies from a visit to see Father Christmas!
The Pråper backpack comes in four colourways and costs £109, plus there is currently a free travel bag offer running with any purchase (whilst stocks last). The next bag on my wishlist is the classic!!
Gaston Luga have offered my readers a 15% discount on their next purchase. Simply enter CHELSEAMAMMA at the checkout, plus there is free delivery and returns.
Which bag would you most like to find under the Christmas Tree?

It sounds like a great back pack. I really love the colour way you chose!
I like the colour of this as reckon would go well with lots of colours. I also like the sound of all the storage aspects.
This is gorgeous! I was eyeing up a friends bag the other day but this seems more like the bag I need. The one I have currently has no pockets and no space!
That looks like a lovely bag, I have been looking at backpacks a lot lately as they are so much more practical. I will definitely go and have a look at their website.
What a classy designed back pack. Love the colour too. Will have to check out their site because I love a good backpack
It looks lovely and stylish! I need something like this for our days out – it looks comfortable too, much better than a shoulder bag.
Oh it looks bigger on your back than it looks on the first few photos, which is good. Love that shade of green
This looks great for days out, I’ve been looking for something rather than carrying my sons bag with us
I love a backpack for travelling and I love the satchel design of this one!
I always say a rug sack is the best option when travelling. I love the colours of this one . I love green and that sage green is beautiful
The backpack looks very nice. I like the size.
Wow you can definitely travel in style with this nice backpack, I adore it.
A lovely bag… I’ll be looking for a new one in the new year. So I’ll keep this in mind.
I love this style but couldn’t find them anywhere! Love the colour combo on this one too, thanks for the recommendation!
Now that we are finally ditching the changing bag, I’m on the lookout for a backpack to carry drinks etc on our family days out. This looks like one that might fit the bill.
This looks lovely! I’ve always had a Kanken for the past ten years or so, but definitely one to consider next time I need a new backpack.
I love this, it’s so stylish but practical too. We were actually saying today we need a decent travel bag, other than using the kids’ superhero ones!
I always use a backpack and love the look of this one, stylish yet practical. Great that it has an inner compartment for a laptop or tablet.
You know, I’ve never actually owned a backpack since I was little. I think it’s time to give it a go, this one is super cute!
