A month today and it will be Christmas Day!!
I am normally the organised one and have all my shopping done by now, but I only started my Christmas shopping last week and have a long way to go to even make a dent in it.
I spent yesterday clearing out the playroom of toys that are no longer loved, whilst kids spent their time aiming to fill it back up again, by writing their letters to Father Christmas.
Finding the right present for your child can be a challenge, especially as they get older and are influenced by adverts on the TV or what they see on YouTube. If you are anything like me then you want to get your money’s worth and get a toy that will stand the test of time and not be forgotten about 2 days later and that is where the 2019 Christmas Good Toy Guide comes in.
Play is vital for your child’s learning and development right from birth up to their tween years as it contributes to their cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being. It also offers the ideal opportunity for you as parents, grandparents or caregivers to engage fully with your children and that is where the 2019 Christmas Good Toy Guide can help you find the perfect toy, or game for your child.
Brought to you by the independent experts at Fundamentally Children, the Guide includes over 50 #GoodToys, all tested by children and endorsed by experts, so you know it’s a review you can trust. It also includes ideas to help you choose toys that will support your child’s learning.
I was very excited to see that some of our favourites have been included in the guide, including the Harry Potter Sorting Hat, Dobble, Face Paintoos and Geomag
.
Not only that, but there is a fantastic, easy to enter, giveaway on the website, giving you the opportunity to win over £500 worth of toys from the guide.
From babies to tweens, scooters to family board games, there’s something for everyone.
It can be fun and games finding the right gifts for our children. The competition sounds amazing, fingers crossed 🙂
Ah yes I remember this from last year – it’s such a fantastic tool for present buyers to use when it comes to choosing gifts for children at Christmas! I love how clear and concise it is 🙂
I’ve never heard of this but sounds a great way to find ideas! Love the puppets!
These are so helpful, sometimes you can just buy things for the sake of it. This really helps give the toys a bit of context.
I love looking through a toy catalogue! Used to get me so excited when I was a child. Fabulous giveaway as well!!
My girls Christmas lists contained barely anything! I have a 9 and a 14 year old. I think I may buy a few new board games this year for the family. At least with this gift guide there is some help with ideas with toys that will last more than just a day!
Not heard of the Good Toy Guide, but this sounds like a great idea for those looking for ideas and present inspiration. Love the Harry Potter Hat by the way.
I know quite a few people who would like the Sorting Hat. It looks great!
Dobble made in on the list – yay!!!!
I have not heard of this before, but have always loved looking through toy catalogues for ideas or things I was not aware of
Things like this are so helpful! It is always quite tricky knowing what the kids want. I still need to start my shopping.
My daughter would love the Harry Potter sorting hat! She’s Harry Potter mad
I have the sorting toys job to do yet but I am definitely going to try and do it whilst the kids are at school as otherwise they will insist on keeping everything lol!
The good toy guide sounds fantastic and so helpful for getting lots of ideas, I hadn’t heard of it before but will definitely check it out!

This sounds like the perfect booklet to let the kids loose with! I loved looking through toy magazines as a kid, and to know that whatever they circle has been thoroughly reviewed is a huge relief as a parent! I love the Harry Potter sorting hat, I know that my biggest would LOVE it.
