My Expert Midwife – the company specialising in products and honest advice for women before, during and after labour and babies – knows only too well that alongside the thrills and joys of being pregnant, come the stresses, strains and pains. Let’s be honest, pregnancy can be tough, with many unexpected and unpleasant side effects to deal with. To help mums and mums to be, My Expert Midwife has launched a new range of products to take women through all three trimesters of pregnancy with a range based on the proven properties of essential oils.
Founder and expert midwife, Lesley Gilchrist and pre and postnatal massage specialist Claire Charlton, have combined their knowledge along with a team of specialists including: chemists, aromatherapists and midwives – not to mention experiences as parents themselves – to come up with a practical and effective range to help pregnant women cope with common pregnancy related side effects, such as: nausea sleeplessness and lack of energy.
The new range is available in discreet and easy to transport 50ml spray bottles. The sprays can be bought individually or as a trio gift set, all three are safe to spray on your skin and clothes during all three trimesters.
“We realised that whilst similar products exist – as sleeping aids and anti-nausea aids – it is not always clear that they are suitable for pregnant women. In fact, this is the first time a range of products has been made available for women to help to manage their symptoms throughout pregnancy. Our unique trio of products will provide a practical and effective solution to those difficult pregnancy symptoms, using premium ingredients to ensure our products are safe for all,” explains Lesley.
Relieve the Heave – spray for nausea
Used for: Morning sickness, afternoon sickness or just plain “don’t know when it’s going to hit you” sickness. The early days of pregnancy can be very testing, but this discreet spray bottle can be carried in most handbags or pockets, providing you with timely relief without letting the whole world know your secret. Symptoms of sickness and nausea during pregnancy are most common in the first trimester and usually subside by 14-16 weeks, but can continue for the whole pregnancy.

It can be used throughout the whole pregnancy and will be especially useful in that difficult third trimester which is often a time of tiredness but frustratingly a time where sleeping is increasingly difficult.
