I am very lucky that my kids love to read.
We are regular visitors at our local library, with the kids often taking out around 6 books a month, but they love having their very own books to and will often read and re-read some of their favourite titles.
We were invited to review Books2Door who offer an extensive range of authors and genres and deliver your chosen books straight to your door.
There is something for every child, from reluctant readers to eager bookworms and we had trouble narrowing our selection of books down, although having seen How to Train a Dragon: The Hidden World at the weekend, our first choice of books was the How to Train a Dragon series by Cressida Cowell, as both Isaac and Eliza are keen to read them.
Another of our chosen box sets was Roald Dahl, who is Eliza’s current favourite author. There are 16 books in in this set including fan favourites such as The BFG, Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and James and the Giant Peach as well as some of his more obscure titles such as Billy and the Minpins, which Eliza hasn’t put down since getting it.
The kids other favourite author is David Walliams, however we already have most of his books at home, so we decided to try an author we had not read before – David Baddiel.
I am really impressed with their service. You can search by author or by selecting your age group, which gives you lots of ideas for books that will suit your child, from age 0 up to young adults.
The books are easy to order and extremely reasonably priced (cheaper than Amazon and our local supermarket), making them the perfect treat or gift for your little book lovers and our order arrived the very next day!!
Disclaimer: I was invited to review books2door.com – all thoughts and opinions are my own.
I like the idea of books delivered to your door – all too often we’ll go out and be unable to find what we’re looking for. My daughter likes David Walliams too – and also loves Tom Gates’ books (and of course Diary of A Wimpy Kid series)
We love Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Tom Gates too – there are so many great kids authors aren’t there
What a fantastic service and it’s great that your kids love to read, perhaps we have more future bloggers?
My children adore reading, although they are only just starting to learn to read (they are 4 & 5), I will have to check Books2Door to see if I can get some new bedtime books for them x
I need to push my girls to read. I need to look at getting something like the How to Train Your Dragon series as they might help.
Great post I am a firm believer of children reading and getting enjoyment for books, my Daughter loved David Walliams books
This is a great company and I have read so many good things about them. We love books and read every single day.
Reading is so very important. I’m hoping my children continue to love books as they get over. What a great idea this is!
I’ve not heard of this service, but do order a lot of books online for home delivery. I shall check it out
This is a lovely service. My kids would benefit from this. They love reading.
Oh wow what a great service! My two love books and I often find my son sneaking in a few extra pages of his book at bedtime because he is enjoying it so much. David Walliams is one of his favourites too. I will definitely check this service out so thanks for sharing.
Nice service, I think it’s great to keep your kids reading. It really helps their brains develop and creativity to spark xx
I love how this is a really affordable way to bring new books to kids. Roald Dhal was one of my faves as a child too! xxx
This is fantastic – i should look into this, we love books and always keen to discover new ones for the children.
My daughter and stepdaughter really enjoy reading. They were going on about getting some new books as they have read everything we have at the moment so i shall definitely check these out x
