Celebrating 90 years of Swizzels with the Sweetest Invention

Everyone loves sweets………yes?

When I was younger I was desperate to work in a sweetie factory, inspired by Caractacus Potts and his ‘Toot Sweets’ from my favourite childhood film; Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Sadly, my childhood wish never came true, but it still could!

To celebrate 90 years of sweet inventions including the mighty Drumstick, iconic Love Hearts and best-selling Squashies, Swizzels are challenging YOU to create a brand new sweet for them to make in their factory, and the prize is a tour of their factory in Derbyshire to see their sweet come to life.

To Enter:

Step One:

Go to www.swizzels.com/invent and visit the inspiration gallery to get those creative juices flowing

Step Two:

Brainstorm ideas for your ideal sweetie……..what will it taste like, what will it look like and how would you eat it?

Swizzels

Step Three:

How are you going to tell Swizzels about your ideal sweets? Are you going to cook up a storm in the kitchen, can you draw up a recipe with how your finished article might look or film yourself explaining your sweet vision.

Step Four:

Go to www.swizzels.com/invent and submit your sweetest invention, with your name and contact details, so you can be contacted if you win, or upload your sweetest invention via Swizzels social media channels using the hashtag #MySwizzels

Four of the creations will be shortlisted and put to the public vote and the overall winner of the competition will be invited to a VIP tour of the Swizzels factory in Derbyshire to see their creation be brought to life.

Closing Date for entries is 3rd September 2018 and voting with commence on 24th September 2018 to 5pm on 15th October 2018 and entrants must be 16 years or over. For full T&C’s click here.

Good Luck!!

  1. Oh my gosh, we love sweets here, and not just the kids! Great competition but I’m so much better eating them than designing them, I’ll leave that bit to the children who I’ll get designing today
