From the bestselling author of How to Train Your Dragon comes an exciting high-adventure series – set in an ancient, magical time, full of Wizards, Warriors, Giants and Sprites.

The Wizards of Once, by Cressida Cowell recently won the prestigious and influential 2018 Blue Peter Award for Best Story and has now been released on paperback.

In addition, DreamWorks has acquired all the rights for The Wizards of Once, putting Cressida’s new series on a similar path to her multi-million-selling How To Train Your Dragon series, which has inspired a generation of readers as well as DreamWorks’ movie and TV franchise of the same name.

Book two in the series, The Wizards of Once: Twice Magic, will be published in September 2018.

Hachette Children’s Group & Ralph Creative have produced an original short video to accompany paperback release of Cressida Cowell’s The Wizards of Once – Magic is all around us… But the real magic is imagination.

With such rich source material to draw on, the process of creating an original video steeped in The Wizards of Once world was great fun, a feeling that we hope is transmitted through the screen.”
