I have been a fan of Hotter Shoes for a few years now and my wardrobe is full of their shoes – I think I may have developed a slight shoe addiction.
If you have not heard of them before, Hotter have been manufacturing stylish comfortable footwear for over 50 years, starting out with slippers and continuing into the mass shoe market promising to make shoes as comfortable as slippers!!
They are now the UK’s biggest shoe maker with a fabulous eye for colour and design and a passion for creating beautiful shoes that feel wonderful to wear!
A couple of years ago my Mum broke her leg and ankle quite badly. She was in hospital for quite some time with a halo around her ankle and then had to have an operation to have her leg pinned. This has left her with a swollen foot and she now cannot walk as far as she used to.
She has lived in an old pair of trainers ever since and desperately needed some new comfortable shoes and just before Mother’s Day, I spotted that Hotter were running a competition to win a pair of shoes for your Mum to celebrate the big day. I entered, and won, so organised a visit to her local Hotter store in Dorchester.
I love walking in to Hotter Stores. Each one is different, but all are designed with comfort in mind and its like walking in to your living room – albeit with gorgeous shoes and bags decorating the walls.
The real selling point of Hotter Shoes is the staff, who are on hand to find you the perfect shoe for your foot. Our assistant, Lorraine, listened to Mum’s history and what type of shoe she was looking for, and recommended trying the Leanne style in a wide fit.
I always love it when I recommend a brand and someone else falls in love with it – Mum could not believe how comfortable the shoes were and was soon scouring the shop for a second pair.
I, on the other hand, already had a pair in mind for me to purchase!
I lived in my Mabel canvas shoes last summer as they are so light and comfortable. This year they have this beautiful daffodil design to celebrate their charity partnership with Marie Curie.
Sporting a beautiful daffodil print, this pretty and lightweight style is a special edition and only 2,000 pairs have been made. They won’t break the bank at £45 and what’s more, £20 from every sale will go to Marie Curie.
Marie Curie provides care and support to people living with a terminal illness and their families across the UK. This wonderful charity helps tens of thousands of people every year. Their hospices and nursing services rely on charitable donations, and Hotter are proud to help by giving a proportion from the sale of every pair of these limited-edition shoes towards supporting their vital work.
Mum wanted a pair too, but sadly they were not supportive enough on her feet, so she ended up with a white pair of Gravity shoes instead.
All I need now is the nice weather to wear them!!
A massive thank you to Hotter Shoes for my win. My Mum phoned me a couple of days after getting the shoes to tell me how comfortable they were, which is praise indeed.
Oh I love those! So cute and summery! We’re finally getting some sunshine ☀️☀️☀️
the daffodil print is really cute, and such an amazing cause. Good to hear that your mum found her shoes comfortable – always a good thing!
I actually never heard of Hotter before but I really struggle when buying flat shoes, all seem to have sole almost so thin I can feel every single stone. When I actually buy something on a proper sole, my heels are really hurting – can’t win! May have to visit Hotter soon and check out their range.
Congrats on winning the hotter competition, what a lovely treat for your mum. I love the daffodil shoes and for such a great cause.
Ohh your daffodil Mabel’s are so, so pretty. I have a couple of pairs of Leannes and they’ve served me really well. Mich x
Heard a lot of good things about Hotter Shoes. Need to get my legs in a pair.
