When Track Party came to Bournemouth

I was first introduced to Track Party as a facebook event and immediately thought it would be something Sebby would love.

Until now, every time it came to Bournemouth we had been busy, but at the weekend we finally got to go and take part ourselves.

Track Party is the ultimate playtime experience for young train, car and dinosaur enthusiasts.

Track Party not only provides birthday parties, but also travel around the south coast hosting epic playtime events in village and church halls, where they set up huge (and I mean HUGE), Tomy trackmaster train sets that cover the entire floor space.

We arrived at St Mark’s Church in Talbot village and were asked to choose our train from a huge table full of every train you could imagine and were then ushered into the main hall that was covered in one massive train set and lots of dinosaurs.

Even Hubby and I were ‘Wow’d’ by the site in front of us and the kids headed off to the section they wanted to play with, with the tower of track proving particularly popular.

Track Party run several one hour sessions per day to ensure that the halls are not overcrowded and the kids get the best opportunity to play. Free tea and coffee is provided for the parents, although most seemed to want to join in the fun.

In a second, smaller room was more train track plus several Hot Wheels sets and more dinosaurs. Sebby and Isaac teamed up to build the ultimate dinosaur hot wheels set that saw cars racing along the track and then through dinosaur legs.

There were plenty of staff on hand to complete any emergency repairs to the train track and replace batteries in trains that had run out of oomph.

Track Party costs £7 per child, per play session, adults are free, plus free tea and coffee too. To see where they are setting up next, head to their events page or follow them on facebook.

  1. I’ve never heard of this, but oh my goodness it is SUCH a good idea! Literally my boys favorite things in the world, all in one place! Absolutely amazing.

  2. Oh my gosh, what a brilliant idea! I have never heard of them before, but it’s completely genius! My toddler would love this, and although he’s too small to play, it would keep him quiet to watch for hours I should imagine! 😀

  3. What an inspired idea. If they did the same with Hornby Train Sets, I can see quite a few grown-ups loving this too. Great way of saving a fortune on having to buy all those sets yourself.

  4. I keep seeing these pop up and they look like so much fun. Oscar would love to go to one for sure. I wish they’d bring them to a town near me!!
