Eliza was first bitten by the Hatchimal CollEGGtibles craze back in May last year, when she unboxed her first ones and its a love affair that has been consistent as they were top of her list for Christmas and her birthday.
Hatchimals CollEGGtibles come inside small, speckled eggs and like their larger friends need your nurturing touch to hatch. Season One eggs were purple in colour, but season two sees them turning pink.
Firstly, you can identify your egg’s family by matching up its speckles to the Collectors list. Then, hold the egg in your hand and rub the purple heart until it turns pink. The pink heart means they are EGG-stra eager to meet you, but you can open the egg whilst the heart is still purple if you really cannot wait.
To open the egg, press down on the heart with your thumb and you will find your Hatchimals CollEGGtible inside which you can then identify from the Collectors List.
Season two packs are even more exciting as you could find the mysterious Golden Hatchimal in specially marked packs. If you manage to find the Golden Lynx, call the Spin Master customer service helpline to claim your prize!
Sadly we didn’t find a golden lynx in ours, but we did find a super rare Hatchimal, Kitty Can, much to Eliza’s delight.
Eliza has quite a collection now and the great thing about Hatchimals CollEGGtibles is that they can be taken anywhere and I have already been informed that they are coming on holiday with us.
You can see all the new Hatchimals CollEGGtibles over on hatchimals.com. They are available nationwide at all good toy shops, with prices starting from £2.99 and suitable for age 5+.

Hatchimals look like such a fun toy for kids! I keep seeing them around and haven’t heard a bad thing about them. They look so cute as well!
These looks super cool and my kids, for one I know will be totally hooked on this. They (like me) enjoyed looking at the photos and reading your posts and now want one for themselves
What about the ultra secret Diamond Cheetah? Any luck on finding one of those? Keep us updated on your search!
My kids love Hatchimals CollEGGtibles too, I didn’t realise they had more to collect and also that tree to display and play with them on, mine would adore that!
These look so cute, but it’s one of those things where you’d want a full collection and if you don’t know what’s inside it could be expensive x
These are adorable! Love the idea of these little characters “hatching” from an egg and the new collections seems even better!
These are so cute. It is my nieces birthday soon and I know she would be over the moon with this.
These look super cool for kids and would make a nice gift for my friends daughter x
