Do you have a little girl who is My Little Pony mad?
Eliza has loved My Little Pony for as long as I can remember and has an impressive collection of cuddly toys that take up most of her bed.
This week we took her to see the new My Little Pony: The Movie and it is safe to say she loved it.
A new dark force threatens Ponyville, and the Mane 6 – Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity – embark on an unforgettable journey beyond Equestria where they meet new friends and exciting challenges on a quest to use the magic of friendship to save their home.
The new film is a underwater adventure and the ponies magically transform into seaponies which has inspired a new toy range which has launched alongside the film.
We were sent the My Little Pony Seashell Lagoon Playset to review.
The set comes with Pinkie Pie as a seapony figure, who has a pretty mermaid-like tail for imagining underwater adventures in her Seashell Lagoon.
The playset is easy to set up, simply clip the door into place and add water to create bubbles inside the front window, imitating scenes from Seaquestria.
The playset’s doors open and close to reveal rooms to play and press the pearl-shaped button to activate the pretty lights.
The Pinkie Pie figure can sit in her lounge seat or swing and rock in the hammock. Dress her up with her accessories and pretend she’s primping in front of her shell- shaped vanity.
The My Little Pony Seashell Lagoon Playset has an RRP of £39.99 and requires 4 x “AA” batteries which are included.
We were also sent the My Little Pony: My Magical Princess Twilight Sparkle.
It is worth noting that she takes 4 x ‘C’ batteries which are not included, so we had to make a mad dash to the shop when she arrived, but “Wow”.
The My Magical Princess Twilight Sparkle figure is a pony with Pegasus wings and a responsive unicorn horn!
Whilst interacting with her, she can move her head and hoof, say 90 plus phrases, light up her horn and if you touch her horn you can hear her talk about her magical spells. Press the Star Button on her hoof to hear her friendship advice, stories or songs, too!
She can flutter her wings so you can imagine her soaring high over Equestria and poseable legs so Eliza can help her sit or stand. Princess Twilight Sparkle also has a beautiful mane and tail to style and a tiara to complete her look, although it keeps falling off.
With an RRP of £139.99, Princess Twilight Sparkle is not cheap and for that price I would have liked it if batteries were included, but I am sure she will be top of many My Little Pony fans this Christmas. She is currently on offer at Smyths Toys and Amazon.
These toys are so adorable! And to see that they are also responsive as well, kids are definitely gonna like it a lot
Oh wow this looks fantastic. Mine love my little pony and of course Twilight Sparkle. It sounds like she is a great interactive toy, shame batteries aren’t included at that price though.
Toys have become so much more interactive recently – it’s about 10 years since my boys were ‘playing with toys’ and lots has happened! But some things never change eg the battery situation – so frustrating that they still aren’t included in lots of packages.
My daughter is dying to see the film and has My Little Pony on her Christmas list.
My niece would love these My Little Pony toys, they look so much fun and very adorable!
My daughter loves My Little Pony and that huge pony looks amazing! I bet she’d love it for Christmas
WOW these look like great toys! My little girl has recently fallen in love with My Little Pony and I am guessing lots of these toys will be on her list to Santa lol! x
My magical princess sparkle looks fab. My daughter really wants to see the movie x
We saw this movie on Saturday. My daughter is obsessed with My Little Pony.
All of these toys are so beautiful! Great selection. 🙂
My daughter is a huge MLP fan, it is crazy how much they have changed since my 1980s versions!
I can’t believe how much My Little Ponys have changed since I was a child! They never had eyes as big as this LOL – and they definitely didn’t have a movie to my recollection x
I was never into My Little Pony when I was younger, but these are really cute!
