Have you ever sat and day dreamed about what you would do if you won the lottery.
I have played the lottery pretty much every week since is launched in 1994. I started playing using the same numbers, birthdays, house numbers and ages and my numbers have changed each time we have added to our family.
When the lottery changed last year, I scrapped my numbers and now choose a lucky dip instead. I have had quite a few “News about your ticket” emails but sadly none amounting to anymore than about £2.80.
Lottoland approached me to review their website and as a regular lottery player I thought I would give it a go as it gives you access to lotteries I haven’t tried before, such as EuroMillions, Irish Lotto, America’s Mega Millions, Powerball and El Gordo.
Now I assumed that it was just another way to buy a normal lottery ticket, however this is not how it works at all, you are betting on the outcome of the lottery instead, playing your chosen numbers for the chance to win the same prizes. This is a form of betting that gives people the opportunity to play along and bet on lotteries that are not normally accessible to us in this country.
Dreaming of winning the lottery is admit something I do quite often as we live very close to the millionaires playground of Sandbanks and often drive past the exclusive houses and expensive cars.
That said, I wouldn’t want to live there as it gets very touristy in the summer and queues for the Sandbanks Ferry are always huge.
My dream would be to buy a large house that is need of renovation and do it up to our taste, with a large open plan kitchen / diner / living room with bifold doors out into a large garden. Yes, I have probably been watching too much Grand Designs!
The kids would have their own bedroom and a playroom whilst Hubby and I an office, a snug and that holy grail of off-road parking. The one thing I hate about where I live is not being able to park anywhere near the house!!
Having older children, I would also love to help them get on the first rung of the housing ladder as well as being able to take all of us on the holiday of a lifetime to Disney World in Florida. Probably the only holiday that I know they would all enjoy.
On a lower level, it would be nice to just be able to live without worrying about where to find the money for swimming lessons, after school activities and to pay the bills, oh and to have my dream car, a Volvo XC90.
I asked the kids what they would like if we won the lottery:
Kian: the Delorean
Isaac – the Batmobile
Eliza – a holiday to Disney
Sebastian – a Jurassic Park dinosaur that lights up in the dark
I think three of those may be a bit of a tall order, but you never know. You have to be in it, to win it!!
They are good plans, would also put some investments
Child being a child, very good to see their innocence.
I mean, until I wanted the batmobile too.
The challenge was good, this text should be shared all over the world.
I love the ideas of this post. A holiday to Disney is my bet.
