BlogOnMSI ice-breaker: 20 things about me

Well, I have finally got around to responding to the BlogOn Ice Breaker linky and seeing as I wrote the thing, guess I had better do my answers too.

  • Share a recent picture of you:

Taken at Corfe Castle last weekend when Sebastian decided that I would look better than him in a Knights Helmet!

Chelseamamma

  • Describe yourself in three words

Social. Media. Addict.

  • How long have you been blogging and what made you start?

6 years…… I was on the night feeds when I fell across the wonderful world of blogging. I started entering blog giveaways which quickly escalated to starting a blog after the kids complained we never did anything, so now I had proof that actually we did!!

  • What was the inspiration behind your blog name?

It was my twitter name long before I started a blog as I am an avid Chelsea fan. Sometimes I think its a curse as we get approached for lots of London based ops, but I have stuck with it.

  • What is the best thing to come from your blog so far?

Definitely being Carnival Cruise ambassadors last year and getting to go on the most amazing holiday and working with Laura on Blog On *cough*

  • Your most remembered thing from your childhood

Mmmm that is a tricky one. I remember I had a Tiny Tears doll I named Belinda and had a blue and white stripy buggy for her

  • Something interesting you might not know about me is . . .

Ahhhh, I knew sharing my most interesting thing on the Blog On website would mean I have to think of something else. I worked in a well known supermarket for 16 years working my way up to management, then moved  to an Investment Bank and am now working with children in Early Years

  • Which social media platform best describes your personality and why?

Twitter – I love to chat!

  • What is your happy song?

  • What is your favourite alcoholic drink

I do love a cocktail, thanks to Carnival and Mark Warner. Strawberry daiquiri’s are sooooo good.

  • What is your favourite cake?

Coffee Cake

  • What is your favourite takeaway dish?

Chinese, Crispy Duck pancakes

  • Where is your dream holiday destination and why?

Iceland – I am a bit of a geology geek and love all things volcanic, plus I don’t do heat so Iceland is perfect. I also long to take the kids to Disney World.

  • What would your superhero name be?

Organised Chaos

  • If you had a magical power, would you want to have and why?

I would love to be able to fly (without being attached to a zip line)

Pier Zip

  • What one weapon would help you survive a zombie apocalypse?

Darryl’s Crossbow from Walking Dead – I am a bit of a mean shot on the quiet

  • If you could send something into space, what would it be?

Evil / War or anyone that intentionally tries to cause harm to others

  • What would you have on your gravestone?

She lived life to the full!

  • You make headline news around the world in 2 years time… but for what reason?

I become the first female Doctor! (Dr Who)

  • If an EMP wiped out all mechanical forms of transport, how would you get to BlogOn?

The TARDIS of course!

So there you have it, I am a football loving, Doctor Who fanatic who loves to blog and will be the one ringing bells, handing out the, quite frankly, epic goody bags and generally doing what Laura and Alice tell me to do at BlogOn.

Looking forward to meeting you all at the weekend.

  1. My parents went to Iceland and absolutely loved it and my cousins actually having a whole family holiday there this year (as in my uncle&aunt and their 4 kids plus partners and kids!). Cant wait for the weekend!

  2. Ooooh I love loads of your answers! Strawberry Daiquiri and Iceland I’m with you – not sure on the coffee cake though 😀
I think a heck of a lot of us started doing comps pre-blog – it’s obviously a trap!

Have a safe trip – see you at the weekend! Thanks for taking part in, and writing, the linky! Jenny – commenting on behalf of myself and Blog On UK

  3. How did I not know you were a Who fanatic? I used to do weekly reviews for Metro and Who was one of my shows (ah, the days when I would get to see episodes a week ahead of everyone else!) Let’s talk about that instead of the football this year …
