Unboxing the Bruno Mattress

A few weeks ago, I was invited to try a brand new mattress from Brunosleep.co.uk, a revolutionary mattress brand from Germany.

They have just the one mattress design as they believe it’s the perfect one – an ideal balance of ergonomically engineered support foam and sustainable natural latex and we were sent one to review.

First of all, it came in a really small box for a 3ft mattress for a single bed and the kids were intrigued, so I thought I would film it coming out the box.

Inside the box was the mattress, all vacuum wrapped in a bag, a surprise box and an instruction booklet.

The unboxing went well, the kids were impressed that the mattress puffed itself up, but were more excited by the huge box to play with and the potential surprise that I had put back in the bottom………….a box of ten teddy shaped chocolates.

The Technical Bit:

The innovative BrunoXTM high density foam mattress boasts a 7-zone structure that reflects the contours of the body, providing optimal support while evenly distributing weight.

The natural latex top layer gives the mattress just the right balance of firmness and comfort, no matter how you sleep… and it’s all wrapped in a luxuriously soft removable, washable cover.

The mattress is made from latex, making it quite springy but really comfortable. According to the kids it also makes it perfect for bouncing, not that is is encouraged as I don’t want any of my bears falling off and banging their heads. I love the cover on it too and since sleeping on it we have noticed a real fall in nighttime wake ups, so no sure if it is the comfort factor or it if it helps to reduce the effects of a dust mite allergy.

I would definitely buy a Bruno mattress when the time comes to replace ours and the chocolates were a great reward for carrying it upstairs, not that I saw much of them!!

  1. That looks great, my boys have been moaning about their mattresses so I might have to invest. I love Sebby’s little expressions, what a cutie. The chocs are a bonus too πŸ˜‰ x

  2. The video is brilliant I can see why the children enjoyed the experience. I am in the process of buying a new bed so I will definitely check these mattresses out as the last one I bought was terrible.

  3. I remember how small the box was for our last mattress – I was really disappointed at first as I thought it was way too thin. An hour or so later and it had trebled in size πŸ˜‰

  4. That mattress looks great! I’ve been contemplating on whether or not it’s time to change my mattress (actually, it is as it’s almost 15 years old! LOL) but I’m a little terrified of buying a mattress then end up not liking it. Does Bruno give a free trial?
