I am not sure what has happened to our coats this winter but between Hubby and I we have managed to break the zips on three so far, with the latest casualty being Hubby’s snuggly warm winter coat.
With a holiday to chilly Scotland planned I knew I needed to find a replacement and fast, so when Trespass contacted me to offer a coat to review I knew we had been saved.
Hubby chose the Highland Mens Down DLX jacket from the Mens Parka Jackets range which sounded perfect for keeping him warm and snug.
The parka style jacket, which comes in black and khaki, features a down filling that helps to absorb and retain body heat while still feeling lightweight enough that you don’t become overheated.
The outer shell of the coat boasts a watertight structure with 10,000mm waterproof fabric and taped seams that cover the stitching, so the coat was perfect for keeping Hubby warm and dry, despite everything the weather could throw at us.
The windproof finish deflects icy winds so they are unable to reach inside and the coat also has an adjustable waist, hem drawcord and wrist straps which stops the winds whipping up inside the coat.
Boasting a breathability rating of 5,000mp too, the coat also prevents you from feeling sweaty or uncomfortable over prolonged periods of wear, although he did have to take it off after climbing Arthur’s Seat as we were all hot and bothered after that massive climb.
The coat also comes with a detachable hood with a removable faux fur trim, plenty of large pockets to store hats and gloves, two zipped inner pockets perfect for storing tech, a handy pen holder and inner knitted cuffs for extra protection from drafts.
Hubby’s coat was the perfect for our Scottish adventure and he was probably the warmest of all of us on even the coldest of days. If you are quick, this jacket is currently in the sale priced at £124.99.
Disclaimer: We were sent the Highland Mens DLX Down Jacket for the purpose of a review. All opinions are our own.
