New Lunchbox Loaves from Soreen

Looking for a snack for school lunch boxes that’s both nutritious and tasty?

Tasty Soreen Lunchbox Loaves strike that perfect balance.

As a child I remember having Soreen Malt Loaf as a tasty treat, although in those days it was a large loaf which we sliced and applied a good smear of butter on.

New lunchbox loaves are available in two flavours, traditional Malt and new Banana flavour. Each pack contains five individually wrapped cakes which are low in fat, contain only 95 calories each and provide a source of fibre.

They have a satisfyingly squidgy texture, are also suitable for vegetarians and are the perfect size to add to your lunchbox.  They are a hit with Hubby and the kids, with Hubby preferring the traditional Malt flavour and the kids favouring the Banana version, which saves arguments over who has which flavour.

The best bit is that they meet the guidelines set by the Children’s Food Trust for ‘School Foods Standards’ and are currently supporting the Change4Life “Be Food Smart campaign. Our school is very strict about what is and isn’t allowed in lunch boxes but these have passed the test.

  1. My kids recently tried these and LOVED them! I was surprised as they are soooo sticky and I assumed they wouldn’t, but they wolfed them down which was fab as they are a way healthier alternative to a cake!
