We are big fans of Teksta pets having reviewed the Teksta Scorpion and Teksta Newborn Kitty before.
Now there is the a new pet in town that is smaller than ever, the Teksta Micropet.
Robotic pets don’t come much cuter than these miniature pets that respond to your touch and voice and can be trained on their playsets!
Their eyes light up, they run around and make cute noises and best of all is they each come with their own playset that you can build just how you like it. We made our Teksta micropet a hamster type wheel that it could run around the lounge in with ours.
We received the Micropet dinosaur to review and Isaac enjoyed making a track for it to get around with lots of bumps for it to go over.
We also tried to make our track a loop but there were not enough pieces, however, if collect all four sets you can join them together to make one larger play world. The other sets feature a Puppy, Kitty or a Racoon.
Having the track certainly adds to the fun of having a Teksta micropet and it has sound recognition so it follows your voice. Sebby found this particularly entertaining as the dinosaur keeps following him!
When you talk to your pet, clap or make sounds it will walk, ‘roar’ and flash its eyes. If you pop you hand in front of his path it will automatically stop. The Teksta Micropet has a tendency to reverse when you are not expecting it but can train it to only move forwards by pressing and holding the button on top of his head and clapping.
I can certainly see us having lots of fun with our micropet and Eliza has already announced she wants to buy the Kitty version with her birthday money when they come out on 8th February.
Oh wow, it’s amazing the toys that are available these days! Tamagotchis were as interactive as you got when I was young.
Oh wow my daughter would absolutely love these! She was wants a pet but I’m thinking this might delay things for a while lol!
haha! They look amazing! As above they remind me of Tamagotchis which I was OBSESSED with as as child!
We love Teksta toys and these pets seem so cute – and fab as I am not doing the real thing!
I have never had a robotic you before but I think my nephew would definitely love this one. Thanks for the review I need to get one for my nephew
Grace has seen these on YouTube and would love one. I like that you can design different tracks for them x
I love these toys, they look like fun. It’s like having a pet but one you can switch on and off and forget about if you’re bored of it haha.
How fun does this look, my little one would love the cat version. She already has cat, but talks of wanting another and think this would be perfect x
Oh this is so sweet!! I’ve always wanted one. Well, I did when I was a kid – it was just around the time when they were first making them and they looked so exciting! And the one I wanted was nowhere near as fancy as this one! x
Oh these look like so much fun! My kids love anything like this, pets, animals, little toys that I never see the attraction but they go crazy for!! xx
My kids are all grown up now so I have lots track of kids toys. aww these do look like lots of fun.
Toys sound fab. My kids have similar interactive toys.
We’ve never heard of Teksta, however these micro pets look super cool. I’d love to play with one of these!
