I always find it fascinating seeing what my top posts of the year are and this year is no exception.
2016 has probably been my busiest year for blogging so far and has taken us all over the UK and abroad with a trip to France and a cruise aboard the Carnival Vista, so I was intrigued to find out what my top 10 posts of 2016 were:
1. Our review of the new Mini-Microscooter Deluxe is top of the posts this year.
We are big fans of microscooters in our house, with everyone owning one and this time it was Sebby who got to try one out. I have to admit that the windmill on the front is my favourite part. I am busy searching their website again as Eliza wants a new “big girl” scooter.
2. How to Hatch your Hatchimals has stormed up the charts over the Christmas with people struggling to get theirs going.
3. Putting a picture of Ashley Banjo on the blog is a great way for getting traffic as my Butlins Diversity Break is next on my list.
The kids got to learn a dance routine with Perry and crew before performing it at the end in front of us parents who were all bursting with pride.
4. Although 2016 was a mostly good year for us, we did say goodbye to my beloved Citroen C4 Picasso that broke down on the way to a weekend break in Cornwall.
It was my blog post about the disgusting treatment we received from the company we purchased it from who refused to honour the warranty that we had purchased with the car.
5. It was a review of the new Joseph Joseph Intelligent Waste system that was my next most popular post.
Who knew rubbish would be so popular ;0)
6. Pop a baby and a cat into a blog post and it is sure to be a hit!
My friends little boy “R” helped us review the new Yvolution Strolly in October, with the help of Teddy the cat and my crew.
7. It was Eliza’s Princess Party that was next in the chart.
I am not feeling any pressure for this year now as I am busy planning a My Little Pony party this time. #eek
8. Our disappointing visit to Guernsey in February is next on the list.
Who knew that the whole island shuts down for winter and there is literally nothing to do, especially if it’s raining!
9. On a more cheerful note, it was our visit to the new Lost Kingdom at Paultons park that is next on the list.
The kids loved seeing all the animatronic dinosaurs and have been begging to go back when it re-opens after the winter shut-down.
10. The last post in my top 10 is Isaac’s Science Party.
His party consisted of a chemical/electrical extravaganza of experiments which included electric shocks, making sherbet, exploding bottles and generally messy fun.
So that is my top 10 for 2016, some very surprising posts in there and I am surprised that some are absent, although they weren’t far off the top 10.
I cannot wait to see what 2017 brings.
Happy new year! It looks like a successful year of blogging for you, keep up the good work!
Happy new year! Those hatchimals are just everywhere this Christmas so I can see why that post was so popular
So many brilliant posts and who knew that Hatchimals would be just so popular x
it’s always great to look at most popular posts. My consistently most popular one is a baby carrier review I wrote about two years ago! x
A great selection of posts Kara! Not surprised the Hatchimals one was a top post as there was so much media hype this year around them – good luck with the My Little Pony Party, we’re having a Captain Jake and the Neverland Pirates one!
Happy new year. Wow, your reviews come so high up your list. That’s so different to mine in comparison. Shame about Guernsey, we did Jersey in late August which was great, although arriving on a Sunday followed by a bank holiday did prove hard to find lunch.
Ooooh I’m off to read the disappointing review! Lol. How old was your LO when he started using a scooter? X
He has had one from 12 months, albeit with a seat on it 🙂
All such great posts – it was so good to see you a couple of times last year and I hope we meet up again in 2017. Kaz x
Happy new year, heres to a great 2017 too xx
Fab posts, have enjoyed sharing your journey with you and look forward to seeing what you all get up to this year! 🙂
I think it’s funny looking at the most popular posts on the blog, some I think will do really well sometimes don’t and others that I don’t think people will read are hugely popular. What a fabulous round up post!
Aww your little boy looks so pleased with his scooter! I love looking back and seeing which posts were popular – more often than not it the ones you didn’t expect!
I had no idea what Hatchimals were until I read a few blog posts, they sold out everywhere and everyone wanted them!
So good to hear it was such a busy year for you and packed with so many great memories and reviews. I bet your kids loved the Hachimal
