Wave goodbye to travel nausea with Sea-Bands

Back at the beginning of 2016, we had a rather eventful first ferry crossing with the kids which left all of us feeling green.

Thankfully we had an unexpected stop in Jersey where we headed to our local Boots chemist and bought some Sea-Bands which worked wonders and kept the nausea at bay by helping alleviate motion sickness, for the remainder of our journey to France.

A Sea-Band is a knitted elasticated wrist band, which operates by applying pressure on the Nei Kuan acupressure point on each wrist by means of a plastic stud. Because the bands do not use drugs, they do not cause any of the side effects associated with anti-nausea drugs and can be worn on each wrist whenever you feel nauseous.

They come in two sizes; one for adults and the other for children both costing £8.59 per pack and are available from all major retailers and online.

Sea-Bands are clinically proven to relieve motion sickness and morning sickness in addition to helping with post-operative and chemotherapy-induced nausea.

  1. Love these, used them as a kid and also for morning sickness throughout both my pregnancies in the early days when you don’t want to tell anyone. Hopefully will win some, but off to buy some anyway for our trip that’s coming up

  5. I would love to win an adult pair for my 17 year old daughter as she suffers terribly with travel sickness, and her current bands have been used that much they are starting to fall to bits, so she desperately needs a new pair before we go away for a weekend in Amsterdam in December.
