Disney The Lion Guard Leap ‘n’ Roar Kion Review

I am a big fan of Disney’s The Lion King and now that Disney Jr are showing a new show that tells the story of Kion, Simba and Nala’s son from the original film, The Lion Guard, the kids are now too.

We have a few of the Lion Guard toys now, but had a very unexpected but welcome delivery whilst we were away on holiday – Leap ‘n’ Roar Kion.

Firstly, Kion looks like a gorgeous cuddly Lion, perfect to snuggle up to in bed, however, this 36cm fearsome plush can sense when something is near!

Wave your hand in front of Kion’s nose to trigger his raging roar, or push down on his rear legs to see him leap into action. Just like in the Disney TV show, the Lion Guard knows how to protect the pride!

When Kion roar’s he waves his head menacingly from side to side and also has 10 character sounds, including his trademark roar. You can, however, have him as your snuggly friend at bedtime by simply switching him off.

Leap ‘n’ Roar Kion takes 3 x AA batteries (included) and costs £39.99 from all good toy shops.

In other Lion Guard news, we are very excited that pop superstar, breakfast DJ and mum to two young boys, Emma Bunton is to make a special, one-off appearance in The Lion Guard on Disney Junior on 3rd October at 5pm, as  beautiful adult female zebra called Muhimu.

After a difficult start, Muhimu begins to bond with the animals during the trip and helps the Lion Guard in protecting the Pride Lands.  She unexpectedly gives birth near the end of the migration, and is a proud, loving mother.

Have you seen The Lion Guard?
