Both Eliza and Isaac love crafting and one of our favourite activities at the moment is E-Zee beads or Hama Beads.
I do have a major frustration with them though as they don’t really do sets aimed at boys, it is all predominately pink and girly and Isaac gets frustrated that there is nothing for him.
Now meet Qixels – ‘the cubes that fuse with a blast of water’, aimed at boys, although girls can join in the fun too. There is a definite a nod towards the world of Minecraft in these sets with cube shaped beads which look like computer pixels and a similar colour scheme.
We were sent the Qixels Kingdom to review which gives you the opportunity to not only build Qixel characters but also the castle too, in any variation you want as it slots together and comes apart easily.
The idea of the set is to prepare for Battle as the Qixels Kingdom is at risk of total destruction by savage trolls that have attacked King Qixels’ castle and are trying to take control of the land!
The set contains all you need to make, spray and play with a peg board, templates to follow and a little water spray pot to set your figures.
Qixels are available at all good toy shops and the Kingdom Playset has an RRP of £19.99.
I might buy this for my neice, it’d be better then those old lego she plays with. xx
Joseph, who is 11, recently got some Qixels and loves them! He is now wanting some more! x
I think this is something my nephew would absolutely love x
This does look fun, shame my children are all to old for things like this now ..
Great review !!
