Introducing Nancy!

First launched by Famosa in 1968, Nancy is the leading fashion doll in Spain, but now she has come over to the UK to make friends here too.

Nancy is a modern girl, not only for how she looks but also in her tastes, interests and hobbies. She is very sweet, pretty and supportive and a good friend who loves fashion and having adventures.

The thing that makes Nancy stand out for us is that she is 42cm tall which makes her much larger than other fashion dolls that are available.

We were sent two Nancy dolls to review, Nancy Flowers and Nancy World Adventures.

Nancy Flowers comes with flower accessories, jewel stickers and glitter for decorating the doll and her clothes. Eliza could not wait to get decorating her dress to give Nancy her own unique look. The great thing about the stickers is that they can be removed and you can start again, or you can colour in her dress too.

There are four Nancy World Adventures to collect, Paris, Rio, London and New York and each World Adventure includes a bag, pet carrier with dog, travel documents, stickers and a secret diary complete with key.

This is Eliza’s favourite of the two dolls and she loves taking her on make-believe adventures and writing in the secret diary. Nancy’s bag is decorated with Big Ben and Tower Bridge to give her a London tourist look and the iPad accessory is a great idea.

Both dolls are well made and Eliza finds them easier to dress / undress than their smaller counterparts as they are that much bigger.

  1. Eliza looks like she is enjoying her – I think Betsy would have liked her too at that age! I love the name Nancy, I think Syd may have been a Nancy if he had been a girl!

  2. My daughters would have loved Nancy but they are all grown up. Although this will be a great gift to give to anyone with a small child. I love how Nancy comes with some many little items.

  3. She looks very stylish. My little girl isn’t that interested in dolls at the moment but I’m sure that is bound to change soon!
