Now you can speed through the alleys of Gotham and scale up the walls with the Air Hogs Zero Gravity Batmobile.
Isaac was sent the Air Hogs Zero Gravity Batmobile which is equipped with the award-winning Wall Climber technology to review.
I have to admit that the box and instructions are not particularly clear and we were a little surprised that the set takes 6AA batteries in the remote control as the box does not tell you this. You then need to plug the Batmobile into the remote control by a hidden wire in its base and charge for at least a couple of hours before you first use it which was frustrating for the boys who just wanted to play.
Once charged the Batmobile can race up the walls and even onto the ceiling, driving completely upside down. Its five directions of control and infrared sensors allow you to respond to the Bat Symbol when it lights up over the dark streets of Gotham and the Batmobile simply follows the light up Bat symbol.
I have to admit that it didn’t seem to cope with our walls very well, but they may be because we live in an older house and they are very uneven. The car lasted about five minutes before needing a recharge which is not ideal either, but the boys seemed to enjoy playing with it and we found it worked better with the curtains closed.
If I am honest it is a very expensive toy (RRP: £44.99) for what it is and I would rather spend my money on an RC vehicle that has its own batteries and lasted a lot longer, but the ability to drive along the wall is rather cool and it has been on constant recharge, play, recharge since we received it.
I think the ability to drive along the wall is cool too. But you’re right, that is a bit pricey!
How awesome is this! A bit pricey but still cool! My cousin would love that 🙂
Oh wow how cool! I agree with you though, the price is a bit too much
I think the ability to drive up walls and across ceilings is pretty impressive!
This is expensive but I know many people who would jump at this.
Wow what a cool toy, I think it makes a great birthday gift for a special boy.
Oh wow that is expensive considering how little time the batmobile lasted, its lucky it was a pr sample!
The ability to drive up a wall would have me floored – that is cool! Shame about the battery life.
It looks like a great toy, whilst the batteries last but I can see what a nightmare it is x
Oh I have never seen anything like this before, I am sure my son will like something like this when he is older. It is a shame that it runs out of battery so often though xx
Being able to drive up a wall is pretty mind blowing. I can see why this toy (and its batteries) drives parents nuts but kids still think it’s amazing!
Oooh I know an 11 year old would would LOVE this – thanks for sharing it x x
Oh wow that is fab, although i’d be a little worried about my white walls 😉 I love that it can drive on the ceiling though, that is fab.
That is really cool that it will climb the walls, but not so good that the batteries do not last – rather a shame really.
Shame the battery doesn’t last very long. My hubby would love this lol. Although as you say the price tag is quite steep x
Jamster is a little obsessed with Batman, well DC and Marvel in general, so he would love this!! x
