Project 366 2016 – Week Twenty Two

Wow, what a week!

We have been busy everyday of half term and although I am shattered now, we have had an absolute blast and have done some amazing things, so without further ado, here is our week.

On Sunday we headed to the Heavy Horse Centre in Dorset where the kids got to drive a full size tractor, ride in carriages, have fun on the swing boats, feed the animals and ride horses. It was a fabulous full day out they all loved.

On Monday we didn’t go too far from home thanks to Bank Holiday traffic, so visited friends and the kids had fun crafting in the garden and making friends with some of the local wildlife.

On Tuesday we left warm and sunny Bournemouth for torrential rain and storms to visit Warner Bros Studio Tour in Watford to see the new Privet Drive exhibit. It was well worth it and we all got to try Butterbeer too.

On Wednesday we visited Portsmouth Historic Dockyard as I was meeting Callan to discuss a career in the armed forces with their recruitment centre. We then headed to the D-Day Museum in Southsea where we discovered that they had made the Mulberry Harbour we had seen back in February during our holiday to France.

On Thursday we went to Weymouth Sea Life Centre where we had a VIP Tour and got to feed the Seals. It was so much fun and even managed to get one to wave to us.

Friday saw Isaac heading to Bournemouth Pavilion for a behind the scenes tour arranged by school and when we picked him up we went to Bournemouth Wheels Festival where Sebby got very excited by the huge Monster Trucks and the kids got to try on some army gear.

Saturday saw our first full day at Butlins and it is safe to say I am shattered now. The kids have fallen in love with the Helter Skelter and because they are small, Hubby and I have to go on with them but we love it really.

So that is our very busy week – what have you been up to?

  1. Wow, what a non stop week! I’m worn out just reading that and I thought we’d had a busy week in Blackpool, visiting the beach, circus and sea life centre.
