JM Posner Candy Floss Maker Review

Like many children, all my children adore Candy Floss and if we go out to an event where it is being sold they will choose it over an ice cream every time. I find the smell takes you back to days at the fairground, park and just lazing on a summer’s day.

We were sent the JM Posner Candy Floss Maker to help us recreate those days in the comfort of our own home, just in time for Isaac’s birthday party and it is so simple to use.

The Candy Floss Maker comes with a detachable, dishwasher proof bowl and splash guard and takes a couple of seconds to put together.

New halogen technology means this candy floss maker can make more candy floss per minute than those with older heating technology, however you do have to leave it for a minimum of 5 minutes to heat up before you use it. Once it is ready, simply drop a spoonful of sugar into the top of the machine, turn it on and hey presto candy floss, yummy!

We used Blue Raspberry Candy Floss Sugar but you can use plain caster sugar and add a couple of drops of food colouring, or crush up some of your favourite boiled sweets to give it some flavour (cola cubes, pear drops and hard boiled sweets work well).

The box includes 6 candy floss sticks so if you are having a party I would advise you buy some cones, or more sticks so everyone gets to try some candy floss – be warned, everyone will want a go and it is brilliant for a quick science lesson too.

The JM Posner Candy Floss Maker is perfect for parties, barbecues or just a bit of fun on a sunny day. I am going to try sherbert lemon candy floss next!

  1. Candy floss has a special place in my heart. (Not my arteries!) I have lots of memories as a kid of being in fun fairs and getting the treat of some freshly made candy floss. This is a magical idea!
