Project 366 2016 – Week Nineteen

I have to admit this has been a bit of a miserable week as poor Isaac has been ill so we have been stuck at home for the most part, plus the weather has been miserable.

We started the week with a visit to our local Bluebell Woods at Pamphill in Dorset which was idyllic. With the exception of Isaac who moaned the whole way round (now I know why), the kids had a fabulous time and we got some beautiful pictures too.

Monday saw a huge change in the weather and jumpers and raincoats were back on for the school run. The weather wasn’t much better on Tuesday but we spotted a tractor on the schoolrun and the drive very let Sebby clamber onboard, making his day.

On Wednesday Isaac still wasn’t well enough to go to his swimming lessons so it was just Eliza. She has a new girl in her class and it seemed to really focus here and she did a whole width doing breaststroke which she has not done before.

Thursday was a wet morning but it dried up in the afternoon. I mowed not just our lawns but two of the neighbours and packed everything away with minutes to spare as a thunderstorm rolled in.

Friday was Sebby’s swimming lesson and he did some fabulous swimming but the day belong to the Great Tit that has been nesting in our garden who has hatched lots of noisy chicks. You can even see them poking their heads out of the birdbox demanding food.

For my 40th birthday Hubby bought me a balloon flight and on Saturday we finally got the chance to do it after it had been cancelled several times due to adverse weather. It was amazing!

Here is my week in pictures:

  1. Hope Isaac is feeling better now. Well done to Eliza! A full width of breaststroke is quite an achievement. The bird box photo is amazing. Glad you enjoyed your balloon flight. I bet it was amazing, but it sounds really scary to me!

  2. what a lovely birthday present and glad you enjoyed it.
What a shame about Isaac being ill. Have to say the fields and fields of bluebells are beautiful to walk through.
e have had no rain here for weeks, we have been watering the garden

  3. Hope you are all fine this week. The bluebells are beautiful. Glad you enjoyed a balloon ride (for me it would have been a nightmare, lol, I hate heights and flying). The jump photo is lovely.

  4. I went up in a hot air balloon when I was about 10, only about 100 feet up in the air, but it was so magical and peaceful; hope you really enjoyed your birthday treat trip.
